Seems to understand what our identify is in terms of football. Can definately see what he wants to do. 4 at the back is the way to go. Patterson now looks terrific. We've got a completely new spine of the team from last year. I actually have some positivity for the season
 
He came to fight and that's being reflected in the team now. No need to go overboard but I do like his clear hunger and enthusiasm for the job, the club, and the fans. Not since Martinez have we had a level of commitment and engagement like that. It should be a given but it has sadly not been. And unlike Martinez, he is building from the ground up.

Yep. There’s a few things to work out at the top end of the pitch but you look across the team now:

Keeper - no issue

Full backs - starting pair are solid

CBs - very decent, no longer missing Mina when he’s injured.

Midfield - Gueye Onana Iwobi Allan Doucoure is some decent depth there

Bit of work needed in wide positions and upfront but the core is now PL standard whereas last season we had the worst full back pairing in the league and the worst centreback along with some of the slowest weakest midfielders going.
