Lampard has managed Everton for 22 Premier League games and collected 22 points.

Benitez managed Everton for 19 Premier League games and collected 19 points.

They're demonstrable facts.

Benitez inherited a team that got 59 points the season before. He had a full pre season. He showed around a 60% decline in performance.

Last season, Lampard improved on Benitezs record.

An improvement in performance, is better than a 50% + drop. They are the facts.

But whatever Lampards shortcomings, hes not a fraud like Benitez, who was a poor mans Steve Bruce at Newcastle from memory.

I genuinely would love to know what people see in Lampard as opposed to any other manger that shows he’s the right man.

Benitez was not under a transfer embargo from memory.

As for the latter, it would be that he achieved his objective, in very challenging circumstances last season. And that he has been let down this season with no striker, so you cant really judge. That would be the basis I'd imagine.

I'm not his biggest fan, but I try to be fair and objective.

I understand the frustration some have with Lampard and the way things are going at the moment, but i honestly believe the stability we crave may come at the cost of a couple of relegation battles. We’ve been down the road of swapping managers when things are going badly, and is why we are where we are now, it’s just not the answer. Some are advocating for someone like Dyche, as he had some success with Burnley and got them into Europe as well as relegation and a promotion. If those same people are prepared to accept that as reason to hire Dyche, then why not allow Lampard the time to build this team and try to push on? After all Dyche got 11 years.

Last season was dreadful but had the benefit of a good start.
I was hoping we’d improve.

So he didn't maintain performance they went backwards. In Lampards first season they lost 12 League games and conceded 54 League goals. The last time Chelsea lost more than 12 League games was 97-98. 54 League goals conceded was their worst total since 96-97.

Chelsea have gone from conceding 54 League goals to conceding 36 and 33 in the last two seasons.

Well considering in his 2nd season he blew £200m on Havertz, Chillwell, Werner and Ziyech then a transfer ban may well have been a blessing in disguise.

Chelsea had a transfer embargo he also brought in and developed many of the players who won them the CL. Ultimately Lamps is still a young coach and was only in his second season at Chelsea.
