…..it’s not an ideal situation, 19 points at the end of January is very bad. Ideally for him we’d have another 10 points, he could assess the squad and build for next season.

There are no 2nd chances here, the club have dug themselves into a hole and have played their final card. They have gone for a progressive appointment when we need safety, they previously went for a safe appointment and got it terribly wrong.

Lampard will be a largely popular choice, it’s now up to him to keep us in the PL.
