If you really back this team to win the home games we need to stay up then fair enough. I think we are there for the taking in every game whether it's home or away.

Away from home, we absolutely have to play deep and hope to nick a goal on the counter/set piece. Our defence is vulnerable/championship standard - let's not expose them any further.

Lampard speaks of how he's learning daily - he needs to learn that quickly. We've been absolutely snotted in every away game, a big reason why in my opinion is how he's set the team up. Pressing so high up at Spurs was as bad as any Everton managerial decision I've seen.

He's not at a very good Derby team in the championship or Chelsea now. He's got to be more pragmatic away from home.

• Naïve at best in his setup to away games, I can't recall as bad a managerial setup from an Everton manager as his vs Spurs with how high up he tried to play.

Lampard was slated at Chelsea for not being able to defend.

Looking at away form, combined with how Lampard thinks we can setup to compete away, I think only Goodison will keep us up. I'm also hopeful we could surprise Man Utd and Chelsea at Goodison when there's less pressure/expectation on our cowards.

I'm like a stuck record but he starts too adventurous every away game.

With this defence, we can't press/play that high up the field. It's insane.

Italian fraud Carlo was lucky to have Mina, Digne and DCL injury free last season for majority or we'd be in similar position.

That said, Frank is as clueless with this inept squad as Rafael was.
