The Cult of Frank wont admit it but he's making a lot of mistakes at present.

Dont want to be too harsh on him today as the Red card hit us hard but he just has no game management at all - take DCL off, put another CM on in Allan and play 4411 defensively in the 2nd half when 2-1 up.

If we go down its not on today for me or even Burnley away but the Watford away game - already relegated and 7 players out missing and Frankel plays 3 at the back and doesnt change it until 75 minutes when Watford offered nothing all game.

We threw 2 points away in that fixture playing silly buggers going for the draw.
Still reckon we scrape it, but bodes badly for next season.

Might be inexperienced but he is surely a better option than a full back and not a v tall one

I thought in the circumstances Coleman actually did o.k (as he has done in the last month). Problem however was taking him away from the right so Iwobi was basically constantly overloaded and exposed.

In that situation you either basically have to park Gordon as another fullback and forbid him to cross halfway line or move a CM out there to cover some space.

Neither happened for some reason.

You leave yourself open to these things imo when you don’t take opportunities on offer.

Relegated Watford with an injury crisis and we settled for a point for me when he could have pushed on.
No matter what happens in previous games it should not leave you open to absolutely disgraceful refereeing and VAR performances that have effectively decided that game today. If they had made the decisions they should have done we should have started the second half 3-1 up and playing against 10 men. Agreed we should have taken the opportunity against Watford but that doesn't excuse what we saw today from the ref and VAR.

The criticism in here yet again shows the lack of football knowledge in our fan base.

We got a red card after 17 minutes. We had no other centre halves available. Let's see some of you armchair experts come up with a plan.

You put Allan on. Even Davies. End of the day, if they're on the bench they can play.

I wouldn't be surprised him starting Gomes because we'd have more of the ball against Brentford than the previous games against Chelsea and Leicester and we're at home.

But once that red card happens AND we're 2.1 up at half time....you got to pack the midfield and use any defensive player we have.

Got to go for at least at point which makes the next game less pressured as a draw at home seals our Premiership status.

He dropped a massive one again after being good the past month.

Any time this team is progressive and on the front foot...it loses. It's not built for it. Regardless of sending offs, it's a team that only works playing deep and without the ball.

Yes fine

But we had no centre halves. Theyve all disappeared at the crucial moment.

So true!

Were they complaining about the team selection and tactics before the non award of a penalty and subsequent red card following a clearance. We were smashing their face beforehand - Richarlison missed an open goal with his head then hit wide with a fairly regulation finish on his favoured left foot before we even scored! Brentford offered no threat until the clearance for a red card. The worry is that they lack quality and Leeds could somehow bluff their to a win even with their dreadful defence. You would hope Brentford are as efficient with their chances in that game as well.

3 at the back is not a defensive formation, just putting that out there.

3 at teh back with wingbacks allows you to attack and have bodies in the middle.

We made chances at watford and didnt take them. The glorious scouser that is Gordon had a wonderful 4v2 and fluffed it.

Were the players a bit worried about Losing? Possibly. But they had the chances to win it and didn't take it. Gray's miss was horrendous.
