Not met him myself but know a few people who have met him at weddings and the like, and the consensus has always been that he is very down to earth. He seems a decent fella and always comes across well on TV.

Was an absolutely outstanding footballer and I think he'll have a decent managerial career too.

Decent bloke, hard to hold any sort of dislike or animosity towards him, apart from when he was banging in goals against us, then he was a complete prick.

As a manager comes a cross as honest, decent person, then you have Gerrard, who in my eyes is false and his whole world revolves around him. I know which one I'd trust as a player.

Just trying to work out whether I want derby to lose or not.

Can't fault his record as a player
Top players 'seem' not to make the best managers
He's won 1 game...bit early to say either way
Doesn't or didn't seem a bad meff like Terry etc. so fairplay to him...unless he's playing us
