While waiting for the fetch box to arrive, I tried watching the live channel via the ipad and pushed through apple tv. Quality is fine, not HD but not too different from watching normal tv. The kids started watching youtube and a couple of other things online which caused the picture to go quite fuzzy and it also crashed a couple of times, but when the internet was good, the quality of the stream was really good.
Should be even better when I plug the fetch box directly into the modem

Wasn't thrilled watching them live first time around, but maybe worth the watch as a channel tester...

Just make sure the family pets are locked away and all sharp objects are out of arms reach

Correct. I am reading over on whirlpool that the Fetch mini will give you the best HD quality. Oh, I think you can adjust the quality in the Fetch box to the maximum available 720p x 50fps.

How long is the fetch box supposed to take to arrive because I'm positive they said 10 days ? Its now 2 weeks and i haven't got it yet and get switched over to the nbn tomorrow.

Check with them your order has been processed/box dispatched. There are guys in whirlpool getting it in a few days.

Guy told me I would get it in 3-4 days, that was on Saturday. Hopefully get it by early next week

Mine arrived two full working days after I went in to Optus. I got a text with an activation code stating the box will arrive in less than 10 working days and it arrived that morning ahah.

Do do you get billed immediately you register online or in store? Or when you activate the sim?

I just got an email today saying it will be despatched soon, and arrive within 10 working days of it leaving the store. A bit different to the 3-4 days the guy told me.

Good news is that I have just watched the first live game (Man utd v Dortmund) on the ipad over wifi connection and picture quality was great.
Couple of points where it froze, but that is due to my internet connection, not the stream.
Overall, very impressed with the stream quality so far

I watched the first half on a tablet and it was quality as well

Quite a few people complaining on other forums but I was very satisfied and impressed.

It will be the quality of HD you get on the Fetch box that determines Optus' success here. The Fetch Box will give you the best quality available. I doubt many will move over to Optus EPL for streaming on their phones and tablets really.
