Current Affairs Fox hunting

I can't see one reason to bring it back. The idiots who do it don't even follow the law anyway, I see loads of hunts around Christmas etc.

It's just another example of old established traditions in 2017. Need to look forward, not back.

Very true mate, all too very true.

It does seem strange though that she's thrown the fox-hunting subject into the mix yesterday - bizarre to my mind, especially to state she's in favour of it ?
Maybe it's a classic distraction technique. They know most of the public hate for hunting, wasn't it like 80% still in favour of the ban? , so while people are talking about this they are not hounding them ( No pun intended) on the more important issues.

It certainly would for me.

I'm no animal rights, veggie-friendly liberalist but I find the 'tradition' of fox hunting abhorrent. In my mind it has absolutely no place in modern society, be that urban or rural setting.
As an animal rights, veggie-friendly liberalist I also find the 'tradition' of fox hunting abhorrent. Similarly, in my mind it has absolutely no place in modern society, be that urban or rural setting.

I would never have voted for that lot anyway, so I am pleased to see Mrs May shooting herself in the foot on this.[/QUOTE]

For sure, as I said, as someone largely ignorant of foxes, their impact and the best way to manage them, it seems a barbaric and outdated practice. I'm just very conscious that the next parliament will be all about Brexit, and it's important not to get sidetracked by things that are relatively irrelevant.

Why are you trying to paint it as irrelevant? This election is about so much more. Only the tories are trying paint it as Brexit negotiation strength.

Bringing back a barbaric practice against animals is a massive character revelation.

May misunderstood the question. 'Fox hunting' is the term they use in number 10 when Liam Fox hides somewhere in the building. Theresa then has to hunt him down and ravage him while the husband watches, blowing his bugle.

If a prospective (likely) Prime Minister of a party came out and said they endorsed the savaging of animals in the U.K. then would that affect your view of them and the values they stand for?

No it wouldn't.

Fox hunting with dogs is cruel, I wouldn't argue with that, but so are many things in life, and I'd put fox hunting fairly low on the agenda. For example, one on each side

  • Housing and disability benefits cuts introduced by the tories
  • Electing a harmless, but massively out of his depth, old man as leader of the Labour Party

Every self respecting person in the countryside has some form of gun, either shotgun, rifle or high powered air gun. Vermin such as foxes, grey squirrels or Lib dems are despatched as soon as spotted......

Scalls and Gypos go Lampin all the time with dogs... no ones arsed but then Posh Tories go fox hunting and do it in a pompous fashion and boy do the working class hate that, makes them proper fume.... Kin riding round on horseback like they own the place, kin stuck up pricks who d they think they are. The fox's just being used as a pawn in the fight for votes between classes, no ones really arsed about them.

If you know of anyone hunting with dogs then you should report them to the police.

No one deserves to be torn apart by a pack of dogs whilst they're still alive.
