Fourth Place?

7th is the highest we could realistically get, outside shot at 6th.

Top 4 or 5 is just ridiculous. We slip up against 'supposedly' weaker teams, we're losing Donovan, to be replaced 'probably' by the erratic Drenthe.

The ref will make sure we unfairly lose to the RS when we play them too, so I'd be really happy if we managed 7th - 11th this season. 7-8th would be an amazing turnaround, all things considered, if we can manage it.
 
I'll be honest - I cba reading 9 pages but is this serious? I'm thinking we could maybe, at a push, catch the sh*te and I'd be delighted with 7th place. 6 points in it, I'm being optimistic looking at making up that. Think 8th is very possible and would be relatively happy with that. Especially considering how sh*t we've been since start of season

I really should have read this .. spot on mate.
 
7th and a trip to Wembley would be a fantastic season based on where we were 6 months ago. Just a few more points here and there out of the derby, arsenal and spurs would be nice and then the the great run of fixtures from mid march to the end of the season is where we must sort out our phobia of defensive teams and start spanking them. If we do I think we'll sneak up on Newcastle and possibly play-off for 7th on the last day. Would be lovely if 7th were a european slot. That'd be one upside to the RS winning at wembley then.
 
What u want and what u get are ethann11 with efc are 2 completely different things.

7th ain't gonna happen. You should just hope for the fa cup run and be happy with that after how we looked a few months back.
 
The Cup should be our goal. Goin down isn't a real risk...we'll be just fine...probably top 10. But the Cup would be brilliant...Moyes absolutely deservse to be remembered for bringing some sort of silverware home. For all of his faults in style, he has improved us a LOT...give that man some silverware ffs...
 
FA Cup and automatic Europa league would be nice, finishing higher than the Red 5hite would be even better. 4th is a complete load of Horse 5hit on top of a big pile of Bull 5hit!
 
Do fa cup runners up get Europe league these days if the winners have already qualified for Europe ??

I know league cup doesn't anymore but sure fa cup runners up still do?

Seriously though, there's no reason we can't finish 7th...

If we find just a little bit of form, the sh*te aren't consistant enough, and if we win the derby its ON.
 
4th won't happen. BUT. If you fancy a bet on the unlikely...
Ladbrokes have us at a ludicrous 400/1 to come 4th...

oh and even funnier....Stoke 300/1, Villa 300/1.

Yes that's the same Villa that are 5 points behind us and showing signs of relegation.
