It was a big game for Fylde with the opportunity to progress to the Fourth Round and it could also be Mick Wisdom's last match in a Fylde shirt. The atmosphere was subdued with many supporters believing if Mick Wisdom was sold, Duncan Ferguson would leave the club. Wisdom started the match and was given the biggest reception when his name was read out before kick-off. John Jones whipped the free-kick into the box on 5 minutes and Henderson headed against the bar. Bristol got the ball up the pitch searching out Murray, Alan O'Neill missed the header and Murray was through on goal, Morgan Feeney got back and executed a great tackle to put it out for a corner. The match was looking likely for a replay, Oto'o was on for Bytheway who looked to have picked up and injury and Josh Maja was on for Tyrone O'Neill. Adrian Pirone came on and in stoppage time took the ball from Wilson and struck the outside of the post. The match ended 0-0 and a replay will take place at Ashton Gate to determine the winner.

DF: The future of Mick [Wisdom] is something we have no certainty over right now. Mick knows the admiration I have for him and he has been a real leader for this football club. The chairman has made up his mind to cash in on the player and I cannot overrule that decision. I have to accept that decision and carry on managing this football team. We are not prepared as a club for Mick to leave in this window, we do not have a replacement at this time. The decision is out of my hands.

The man left Bolton to come back here after Kewell had turned us into a shivering wreck and he took us to the Championship. We took harpoons to places we never ever thought we would, only for Big Dunc there are coppers up and down the country who never would have met Maccas mother, the lady has done time for the man.

It's like losing 2 giant members of the team.

Mick was crying as he left according to my mole in the camp. Had to be dragged out and bundled into the Barnsley transit van. Very unedifying.

Just been with Danny Rowe, said he was crying and shaking with everything that's gone on. Sad to see as he was naked in Terry Nodders Car Wash service which enforced the crying and shaking from the soapy chemicals in his eyes.

As he stood there with the big car brushes flopping his manhood all over the gaff and slapping his chops all over the shop, it reminded of days gone by when Rowe was slotting for fun, forging giros was easy and Harry Kewell was trying to rebuild his career his career by working in the local supermarket.

Just to go off at a tangent, this reminds me of the car wash scene from the film the Greasy Strangler. In many ways the perfect accompanying film to this thread. I don't recommend this film, as you'd never get those 2 hours of your life back but there you go.

Danny Rowe however has fallen lower than he's ever been though. Not because Macca's manhole is so deep but that suckling the teet of Ward is low. Very low. Lower than any drain than you'd find below a manhole.

In fact there's only one thing long enough to sling down Macca's manhole to reach the depths of Rowe, but unfortunately that's bundled into the back of a transit and his half way to Barnsley.

Sad days indeed.
