Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Can I have updates on Salford please @The Penalty Box Dancer

If I knew Allaway was available for 10k I would have sold me 80" 4k cinema screen in cash converters and bought him myself ffs

Et tu @maccavennie ? We just get rid of one salad munching sandal wearing bunch of meffs and now people are jumping ship to Salford.

Give me strength.

Sorry about this lads, on a Sunday as well i know. @maccavennie mum gets a mention here though

"Away supporters, the club chef Jade Crawford tells me, mockingly turn up in butchers’ aprons. They chant “Where’s your burger van?”
Wood stadium? Get outta here!

Best way to preserve that is blubber oil from baby dolphins. Forest Green always hated the environment. If their fruitcake owner would only have some naturally occurring sausage roll from an ethically self sufficient pig he'd soon change his mind and build a superior organic cement one.

The sooner he lashes one of the wind mills to that monstrosity of a stadium and floats off out the Bristol Channel the better and he can take his shiitakes with him.

Exeter City vs AFC Fylde

After a gruelling fixture in mid-week against Bradford, Ferguson had to rotate a few players due to fatigue and Henderson was given a rest on the bench. Tyrone O'Neill was still struggling for fitness and was not part of the 18 man squad who took the trip to Exeter. There had been a glum feel around Fylde lately with supporters feeling pessimistic about the future. The footballing flair that wowed the fans seemed to be a distant memory and it looked like the players were not putting in the performances to see them getting results and keeping clean sheets. Many fans were wondering whether a change of manager might now be something to think about. Duncan Ferguson had the support from the chairman and the players still seemed to have copious amounts of respect for him. Results needed to pick up because the pendulum could easily swing. Mick Wisdom was serving another suspension and Daniel Embid took to the field. Jordan Wilson took the ball in space on 13 minutes and stung the hands of the keeper who deflected it behind for a corner. Okoroji took the corner from the left, aimed it towards Maja who knocked it to Alan O'Neill to head in to make it 1-0! Fylde got into half-time at 1-0 and looked in control but needed the second. Pirone got down the left, he crossed into the box on 58 minutes, Maja went for the header but was dragged to the floor by Farrar, the referee did not hesitate and pointed to the spot! Maja wanted the kick, he placed it nicely into the bottom right corner and doubled Fylde's lead! Josh Ferguson was working hard and helping to win the ball back in his own half, he played it to Pirone and Pirone was tackled late by the full back Paterson, the referee had no choice but to issue a second yellow card and send him off. Exeter were not phased by the dismissal and made Fylde pay the price for poor marking on the free-kick, Forrest crossed for Marsden who at the back post tapped it in to grab a goal back. Five minutes of time added on and Exeter were going for the equaliser. Marsden came deep to get the ball, played it to Ocren and Wilson got in there to win it back. He played it back to Stocvkbridge who had time and he switched it to Okoroji. Okoroji tried the cross but it was just behind McGavin and Exeter won back possession. Fylde done well to keep Exeter out and recorded a much needed victory.

DF: We didn't play that well and we need to improve but getting the three points is what matters after our turbulent form and we needed to taste victory again.

Mick Wisdom promised to watch his discipline after it came out the player had a talk with Duncan Ferguson over his recent behaviour on the pitch. He was back in the team for the visit of the in-form Chesterfield. Tyrone O'Neill made the bench after recovering from injury. The first real chance came on 20 minutes and it was for Fylde, Morton took it on the right and got to the byline, he crossed into the box and Maja headed against the post. Tyrone O'Neill came on for the final 25 minutes to try and steal a goal for The Coasters. Declan Marshall made an appearance for Fylde and was involved straight away, he played Morton's throw-in back to him and he crossed into the box, Henderson rose up to win the header and put Fylde in the lead in the last ten minutes! The frustration leaves the crowd! It's a victory for Fylde in their hunt for promotion!

F.A. Cup Second Round

Ten years ago Salford were considered the stronger team and were tipped to achieve what Fylde have achieved in the last ten years but it hadn't quite worked out for Salford who are currently 22nd in the National League. Sam Allaway was signed as the striker to help them fight for survival this season but he was ineligible for the cup match against Fylde. Fylde started well inside the first 20 minutes playing good attacking football in the final third, John Jones tried a shot from outside the box and the keeper done well to turn it behind. Wisdom won the ball back with a great tackle, played it wide to Oto'o and he dribbled down the right, crossed into the box and Henderson struck the post. It was still goalless at the break with Fylde having the better chances but they need to watch the counter attack from Salford. Euan Henderson wanted to carry on playing through a slight thigh injury but Ferguson brought him off on 55 minutes for Pirone. With twenty minutes to go Salford's Beech played it to Allen who turned Morgan Feeney easily and curled it round Foster to give the home side the lead. The National League side with the lead. Stockbridge took the throw on 80 minutes, Oto'o shielded the ball well and played it to Wilson, he passed it left to Wisdom and he got his shot off to bend it round the defence and equalise! 30 Seconds left to play, Oto'o overhit the cross but Pirone kept it in well, the Italian winger crossed it back into the box and the defence cleared to Stockbridge who crossed low from the right and Tyrone O'Neill shot wide. This one is going for a replay, which is an extra fixture both teams could do without.

DF: Credit to Salford they kept us out and managed to score a great goal. We have to do better and we have to play better when they come to our place next week.
