Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Heard he’s been hanging outside the local poundland like a billy big balls. Thinking he’s made it. He’s been wearing a leather jacket and pretending to smoke cigs but it’s just a vape. I pulled him up on it and he denied it but he stank of watermelon.
At least he ain't on the machines in the bookies. I was getting worried there that he might have a problem.

PROMISING PERFORMANCE AWAY AT ORIENT

Ferguson remained unchanged from the side that beat Mansfield in the FA Cup and a good, attacking display was what travelling Coasters came to witness. Oliver Sarkic's curling effort after four minutes just narrowly missing the target. Fylde kept the ball well and searched for openings against a tightly packed Orient defence. Tyrone O'Neill was influential throughout the first half cutting inside onto his right foot trying to create opportunities. Orient held firm. Fylde limited Orient to a number of chances, mostly coming from outside the box. It was a tough game or both sides in terms of breaking each other down. Danny Rowe had a great free kick saved and in the 90th minute it was Griffiths who made a great acrobatic style save to deny Orient from a free-kick.

DF: I'm happy to take a point out there. Orient made it hard for us to get near them but there are positives and we are looking to build on that now. I think we have enough about us to start getting 3 points in this league.

Back on home soil for the visit of Ebbsfleet. The crowd were in fine voice as they could sense the mood changing around Mill Farm. Slowly, but surely it looked like The Coasters were adjusting to the division and it would only be a matter of time until it started to go there way. The lads looked in fine spirits in the pre-match warm up and Ferguson and Huckerby were running training drills before the kick-off.
There was no much to shout about during a bleak first half. Both sides went in at 0-0. 51 minutes gone and Ebbsleet were in control, the fans were urging the players to close down and press but Ebbsfleet played around them. A rifling shot rattled the cross bar to turn the words of encouragement into jeers. The Coasters supporters wanted more fight from their team. As the ball came looping down from the cross bar, Kamya was first to react and threw his foot at it to put it into the net. A devastating blow for Fylde and the atmosphere became eery. Ebbsleet struck the bar again on 75 minutes this time Feeney hooding it out for a throw in. Ebbsfleet had theirt 92nd minute free kick saved by Griffiths and Denver Hume picked up the loose ball and began a long run forward into the opposition half, a quick counter attack and Fylde had men over screaming for the ball. Hume decided to go alone and was eventually tackled. The whistle was close. The stands were quiet and Duncan Ferguson cut the figure of a man lost on the touchline.
