Duncan Ferguson: A very talented winger I had the pleasure of working with. Some of the skills and tricks I watched him pull off were quite mesmeriesing and I've never seen some of that at the top level of football. He will be well remembered here at Fylde and is welcome back any time as a guest. Good luck to him in what he chooses to do after his playing career.​
 
FERGUSON SIGNS REYNOLDS FROM CARDIFF

Having worked with Reynolds last season and playing an integral part of their promotion bid, it made sense for Ferguson to make the Cardiff City player a Fylde player. Reynolds had one year left on his contract and it looked as though Cardiff were unlikely to renew. He signs for £21,000.

Jim Kellerman signs for Fylde on a free transfer and spent the 2018/19 season at Mill Farm on loan from St. Mirren. He previously made 45 appearances for Fylde and is looking forward to being reunited with his team mates and manager. ​

We are in 2022/23 season and it's the Quatar World Cup in November. Premier league fixtures start on 23rd July with November and December off.

Out of interest, before the new season starts, does anybody want any updates on a particular player or club?

Daniel Mandroiu comes in on loan to help bolster the midfield after losing Max Haygarth to Livingston. Max didn't want to sign a new contract and could regret his decision. Brett McGavin comes in on a free after being released by Ipswich Town. The 22 year old midfielder will be looking to make an impact in the first team.

Tom Bell, Emery-O'Kelly, Barton, Stockton and Sterling all join the u23 squad. ​
 

PRE-SEASON 2022/23

Manager Duncan Ferguson states it has been a good pre-season with some good results coming against Wigan Athletic and Rochdale. Some good confidence boosting wins against Aberystwyth, Ayr and Gainsborough have put Fylde in good condition for the forthcoming League Two campaign.

The bad news is Stephen Dooley has been ruled out for around 4-5 weeks and is likely to miss the seasons opening fixtures.

SKY BET LEAGUE TWO OPENING WEEKEND

Fylde will host Carlisle United in their first ever game in the Football League. Mill Farm is sold out and the fans have been talking about it all week. Duncan Ferguson goes head to head with Mark Warburton and will be aiming to kick start the campaign with a win.

DF: Carlisle are a tough team but we have home advantage and I reckon you won't be able to hear yourself think out there tomorrow. The lads are ready for this, we're prepared as well as we can be. It's great to say we are a part of the football league now and our aim is establish ourselves here. ​
