Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

As Fylde player of the season 3 years on the bounce it gives me great pleasure to announce the winner of the pre pre-season lottery.

If sure you all bought your tickets at the club shop, @maccavennie s pasties and @maccasmasknockingshop.

Good luck everybody

After an extra extended break I'm pleased to announce @wm02 is the winner of a knock off replica of a Big Dunc official Casio g shock, as worn by the man himself on the final day of last season when we were relegated after that drab nil nil draw.

Congratulations wm02 hopefully you'll receive it before @The Penalty Box Dancer pulls his finger out and get this season underway.

John Jones

After an impressive loan spell at Fylde, Ferguson made John Jones his first summer signing breaking the bank for a record fee of £400k. 22 year old Jones proved he was a consistent attacking left back last season and was also deadly from set pieces. A player to watch over the next few years.

Jack Quinn

Scottish forward Jack Quinn joined the club from Port Vale where he got 12 goals in 42 games last season in League One. Quinn is a versatile player who can operate on the left and right of the midfield which adds depth to the Fylde squad. The 25 year old is looking forward to getting to work under Duncan Ferguson this season.

Gianluigi Damilano

The 19 year old Italian central defender signs on a free for Juventus but is unable to play for Fylde until he can apply for a work permit. Ferguson is looking to send Damilano out on loan in Italy this coming season.

Ander Nunez

Nunez signed from Nice in France after spending his earlier career at Athletico Madrid. The 24 year old central midfielder is one of the most gifted midfielders to join the club after signing on a free transfer. Nunez must build up enough points to apply for a work permit to play in the UK and has joined AEK Athens on loan for the season.

Sam Gibson

Sam comes back to Fylde for a second loan spell from Bournemouth and will be looking to add to his 14 Fylde appearances last season. Ferguson stated he wanted to rejuvenate his back line with the loss of Alan O'Neill and the ageing Morgan Feeney.

Sean Jones

17 year old right winger Jones comes in on loan from Blackburn Rovers. The winger is a determined character looking to play his first senior game for a football league club this season. The winger has excited at u23 level and is ready for the step up senior football.

Christian Hutson

23 year old Hutson returns to Fylde this time on a free transfer from Cardiff City. The versatile forward had an unsuccessful spell at Fylde in 2026/27 when they won the National League making only 13 appearances. Ferguson stated the player had shown maturity and was hard to turn down on a free transfer.

Patrick Uttridge

Patrick is a developing central midfielder joining on loan from Derby County. The midfielder has qualities in leadership, work rate and showing composure. He has made 9 appearances for Ireland U21's and scoring 1 goal. The midfielder will prove to be a key leader for Fylde on and off the pitch.

Renaldo Downey

The 22 year old promising left winger joins on loan from Crystal Palace. Downey has one Premier League appearance to his name and offers a good choice as back up to Euan Henderson.

Sinn'kaye Osborne

The 22 year old goalkeeper signs on a free from Arsenal and offers a good choice as back up to Jimmy Dube. With Hadler retiring, Fylde were in need of a back up goalkeeper and Osborne could also be one for the future.

Ellis McKimm-Forster

18 year old Forster joins Fylde on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. Ferguson looked to strengthen the midfield this season and the youngster is very capable of handling senior football this season for Fylde. Brighton manager Michel Vonk said the midfielder is close to first team football at Brighton but needed a loan spell to build his experience.

Greg Taylor

Ferguson needed a left back after Okoroji retired and Greg Taylor comes in at 33 years old after spending his whole career at Kilmarnock making 486 appearances. He was voted the fans player of the season for ten years running. The full back has made four appearances for Scotland and Alex McLeish claims he is the perfect professional and a pleasure to coach.

With Ferguson and Fylde making shrewd moves in this years transfer window, it is a new era for Fylde as they look to compete for this seasons League One title. It has been a busy summer and Ferguson is hoping his new recruits can hit the ground running. Will these players fit the Fylde DNA and prove to the supporters that they are worthy of the shirt? Ferguson has done well in the market over the years but has also had his critics. It is a new dawn at Fylde and these players will know there is no hiding place under the scope of Duncan Ferguson.
