An impressive pre-season for Fylde before the start of the League One campaign with most notably a demolition of Marine.
DF: We've had a busy transfer window and filled positions in the squad that was in need of strengthening. We took advantage of the loan market and got some free transfers over the line due to the constraints in the transfer budget. Signing John Jones on a permanent deal from Leicester was our biggest business and the lad is an exceptional talent. We're prepared for the new season and the only real casualty is Victor Oto'o who broke his ankle in June on international duty. We are hoping to have him back training in September. Vince Bytheway has been injured for the last few weeks and I doubt he will be ready for the first match this weekend against Exeter. Jordan Wilson is also touch and go.
Good to see the time off has been well spent on the training pitch. Can’t believe we didn’t smash that Everton team, absolute joke of a club.
