Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

I like it mate.

Ive penned this beauty for Danny Rowe whilst the kettle was boiling. To the tune of row your boat.

Rowe Rowe Danny Rowe scores another goal
But if he stops he'll get the chop and be back on the dole
Back of the net!

FYLDE'S UNBEATEN RUN CONTINUES....

gateshead score.webp

Gateshead have been in fine form and took that with them into this game as after 5 minutes found themselves leading but if you want to succeed in this league, you have to fight back and that is exactly what Ferguson's men did. Ryan East made space for himself inside the penalty box and as the ball was played in to him he finished it off nicely with a calm finish. Danny Rowe showed he can carry on scoring in his thirties with an excellent left footed finish into the bottom corner 7 minutes before

Barrow came with a game plan and it was to stick ten men behind the ball and ask them to break us down. Fylde had a go, having 21 shots in the process and hitting the woodwork 3 times. Barrow hung on for the point and Ferguson demanded more from his side and was frustrating by the negative approach Barrow came with. He did not seem best pleased when approached after the game by reporters.

DF: It's difficult when teams set up like that, I'm not gonna moan about it, this is what happens in football now. It's not enjoyable to come up against it but they are the ones who will be happiest. They grabbed a point in their bid for survival.

Billericay.webp

Three days later it was Billericay at Mill Farm. Ellis Simms got a start and grabbed with both hands as he ran the defence ragged. He took both goals well with two neatly placed finishes and was unfortunate not to grab a hattrick. It turned out to be a comfortable win for Fylde in a game the press expected them to lose.

Top of the table Sutton Utd hosted The Coasters in a game both sides were high on confidence. Danny Philliskirk opened the scoring from the spot after putting the ball confidently down the middle. Fylde were in control and coasted into half time playing the better football. The same could not be said in the first minute of the second half as Laing knocked a long ball inside his own half which was chased down by centre forward Jonah Ayunga who beat Russell Griffiths on his near post with an acute finish. The sides played out a draw with neither side really dominating in the second half. A point was a fair result overall.

table after 10.webp

After ten games Fylde are in 7th place four points off the top and still reamain unbeaten. Although this is a positive start, Fylde fans are becoming a little bit anxious as they feel they should be turning those draws into wins. After being so impressive for large parts of last season, there is a different level of expectancy around the club this season and these fans want success.

10 games in and unbeaten. Great. But we need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal. We're getting chances but just not scoring them. I sense that someone is due for a pasting from us. On holiday for the next 3 games in Outer Mongolia where we'll be digging water holes for orphaned yaks. I am absolutely sure that I'll miss that game!

A pasting is definitely due. Enjoy your holiday mate.

7th!?!?! You’ve got to be joking mate!! I’m emotionally invested in this now. If we don’t piss promotion this season I’m going to request your IP address from the mods and come round and smash your windows in with a baseball bat.
