Fylde are on a run of good as of late, after keeping three clean sheets in the last three games. Boreham Wood were the unfortunate visitors to Mill Farm.

Fylde carried on their dominance with a very good performance against Boreham Wood. Wright-Phillips earned himself a start after playing well off the bench against York and capped an excellent display with a goal. Winger Ashley Hemmings replaced Stephen Dooley after sustaining a minor injury and scored two goals late on cutting in from the left side. A good win for Fylde but a poor performance from Boreham.

The goal of the game came from workhorse midfielder Andy Bond when Ashley Hemmings crossed in from deep and Bond got in front of his man and dinked the ball beautifully into the corner. The keeper looked bewildered as Bond ran towards The Coasters supporters slapping the badge on his chest. New signing Quentin Pereira was not part of the Hartlepool squad but will feel a tad embarrassed after leaving The Coasters on a day like that.
Bad news came in days after the Hartlepool game when club captain Ryan Croasdale pulled his hamstring with the injury due to keep him out of action for 5-6 weeks. It didn't get any easier for manager Duncan Ferguson after winger Wright-Phillips demanded more first team opportunities. Reports came from a reliable source at the club that the winger was ready to leave the club in search for regular first team football but Ferguson stuck with his guns and insisted Wright-Phillips will play a huge role at the club and there is competition for places. James Hardy has been in good form this season and does not deserve to be dislodged from selection.

Ferguson spoke to the local press and had this to say:
"There's no rift as far as I'm aware. We did have a chat as D wants more football and as you know he's been playing regularly this season. He's made 5 starts and about 9 appearances from the bench. I'm happy with his contribution, he's got 3 goals this season and I set him a target at the start of the season to aim to get about 5-6 and a few assists. He's impressed so far but he is a fiery character, he just needs to channel it better. He's 19 years old and has a big future in this game if he works hard and remains professional. He comes from a family of very successful footballers and I understand he wants to be in that mould. This is his chance to prove himself."

Fylde stretched their unbeaten run to 6 with an away victory over Chesterfield. Chesterfield took an early lead and Fylde were out of sorts throughout the first half. The players dug deep and Danny Rowe converted a free-kick into the top corner to equalise for The Coasters. The referee evened up the sides when Ryan East was sent off for a second bookable offence. His second sending off this season. Tom Brewitt scored from a corner late in the game with a neat finish into the bottom corner ensuring all three points are going back to Fylde.

A tough trip away to Notts County is the next fixture for Fylde having beat them at the beginning of the season, Fylde will be looking to make it two out of two and extend their unbeaten run to seven. The FA Trophy gets underway the following week with a home tie against Kings Lynn who are 16th in the National League North. Will Ferguson be looking to add silverware to his C.V. this season? Now into his third season in management he is yet to win a trophy. Some Fylde fans would rather Ferguson prioritised promotion over the cup competitions.
