Vince Bytheway was struck down earlier in the week with food poisoning and missed some training schedules. For Fylde to gain promotion they need Chesterfield and Coventry to lose or draw but it still not might be official if Wimbledon and Portsmouth win due to goal difference. Fylde have to win regardless to have any chance of promotion against Bristol Rovers.​
