Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

Rowe Rowe, Danny Rowe Rowe, Danny Rowe Rowe, Dany, there’s Rowes Fiat!
Spent two hours outside the training ground chanting that at his car once. We were all drinking turps. Halcyon days
Reminds me of that time Hendo pulled out of that game with a "hamstring strain" and joined us in the stand.

Hendo, Hendo Hendo, Hendo Hendo, Hendo's piii-iiissed.

Then Dunc walked over and chinned us all.

Not heard that one macca.

Jimi you gotta Google that one mate. Eezer Goode is probably up there lyrically and sonically with Nat King Coles dreaming of a white Christmas!

Or at least it was in the summer of 1992!!!

Edit : Jimi it was the Shamen not 2 Unlimited. Shows you how many alcopops I was on at the time!!!!

What a tune that was! What even is an ebeneezer goode?

EDIT: Wikipedia tells me it's a naughty, very naughty song about drugs.

That's right sharky, though they denied it was about drugs it was a very clever play on words.

I was shocked it didn't stay at number 1 until Christmas......... Until Whitney Houston came out with the ABSOLUTE BARNSTORMING I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!

What a song, what a lady, what a voice. You don't see any Whitneys these days, that lady was a classy lady, a lady with soul, l lady with lady goodness and lots of it.

She would have loved the Coasters.

On a side note, the song I will always love you was written for James Rodriguez. I don't have any proof of this but I just know it's true. I hope we see him play for Fylde one day.

Unfortunately it seems Boyz II Men's End of the Road was written about Sam Allaway with his lack of game time. :(

God I love this thread. I'm a long term lurker on this site but this thread has been magic from the start.

It has changed my life . Specifically getting me kicked out of home by the missus as she didn't like the full back tattoo of Hendo harpooning the whale I got. Just because I spent the rent money on it!!!!!

Anyway UTFC!

=Plymouth result.webp

It was midweek football at Mill Farm with Plymouth making the long trip North. Mick Wisdom and Bret McGavin formed a familiar partnership in the middle. Carl Jacobs came forward with the ball, Wisdom missed with the tackle and the goal opened up for the striker who slotted into the bottom corner after ten minutes. The lead was short-lived, Wisdom took the corner a minute later and Sargent charged in to knock home the equaliser! Plymouth were putting Fylde under pressure but the back line stayed firm and kept the score level. Plymouth played it out from the back and Fylde pushed forward, Tyler Garrett received the ball on the left flank and crossed to the far post for Bytheway to head against the underside of the bar and in! Mick Wisdom whipped in the free-kick at the start of the second half and Nathan Smith headed just inches wide. Morton got down the right a few minutes later and Sargent met his cross with his head and struck the bar. Fylde were winning free-kicks in dangerous areas, Wisdom whipped in the cross from the edge of the box and Smith was pushed in the air as he went for the header, the referee gave the penalty! Henderson took the kick but the keeper kept it out! Henderson was having a quiet game and was replaced by Sam Allaway. Fylde were defending with Scott coming on for Ferguson and Alan O'Neill for Feeney. Plymouth went with another striker up top. Fylde kept possession well in stoppage time and the whistle blew and it was another three points for Fylde! Is it too early to dream?

DF: I'll say it all season, we will not get carried away. Our main job is to survive and stay up. Play-offs is not something I am thinking about.

=Exeter result.webp

It was last seasons second and third placed in League Two meeting for the first time in League One this season. Exeter had made a fair start finding themselves in 12th place. Josh Ferguson suffered a broken cheekbone in training and will be required to wear protective headgear if he is to feature. Josh Ferguson was named as a substitute with Tyrone O'Neill playing behind Barry Sargent. Sargent tested the keeper from close range on 13 minutes after Henderson played it out wide to Morton who crossed for Sargent. Henderson received the ball from Garrett and headed it inside for O'Neill, a lovely touch. O'Neill took it forward and played it to Bytheway who broke free in the ares and slotted past the keeper! Seven minutes later, Wisdom played it to Bytheway on the right, he crossed early with a lovely ball for the running Henderson who shot with his left foot against the post, he picked p the rebound and poked it home! Fylde were solid at the back and worked hard for every ball, Exeter could not get near Fylde in the first half. As the half drew to a close, Bytheway walloped the ball into the area hopeful of finding a Fylde player and Henderson deceived the defender and blasted it home for his second! Fylde must keep up their performance levels in the second half and would record a fantastic victory. With 30 minutes to go Ferguson brought off Henderson for Allaway to the dismay of the travelling supporters. There was a moment for the fans to cherish when Wisdom curled in a wonderful free-kick from about 30 yards out, his first of the season! It ended a very comfortable win for the away side today and Exeter could not get anywhere near The Coasters.

LEAGUE TABLE

LEAGUE TABLE AFTER 17.webp

With Fylde winning their last five league matches, it has propelled them up the table into second. This early good run of form should stand them in good stead come the end of the season but if they continue to keep impressing they will begin to appear on the radar as potential promotion candidates.

not get carried away..... NOT GET CARRIED AWAY! Shush now big man, this Coaster is like cannon and ball joined together to make a cannon ball and join them again to make a canball and then joined again to make a call.

What a performance that was and is there a better player in Europe than Henderson? Nope.

I mean if he wanted to go, we'll be getting the proper big money, I'm talking 500k MINIMIMUM AND THAT'S 50% OF A MILLIONIMUM
