Forgotten Great Footballers

This is probably one of my standout World Cup memories. Germany getting slapped by Croatia in their first ever World Cup. Lovely goals from Jarni, Vlaovic and Suker

Just had a look at the Yugoslavia and Croatia 98 World Cup squads. If you combined both teams you'd have a squad that could have had a serious go at the title. Croatia alone got to the semis. You could have the likes of:

DEF: Mihajlovic, Stimac, Bilic, Jarni, Tudor, Simic
MID: Stojkovic, Savicevic, Jugovic, Prosinecki, Asanovic, Jokanovic, Stankovic, Boban, Stanic
FWD: Suker, Boksic, Vlaovic, Milosevic, Kovacevic, Mijatovic

Seen him playing in the flesh..
His debut for Dundee...truthfully.
He scored in a 2_0 win v Aberdeen
I saw him play for Dundee against St Mirren, he scored but got taken off injured and we could see the treatment table from where we were sat. Watching him get a massage was better than watching the game. My colleague was his English teacher, and she tells the story that she used to bump into him in Broughty Ferry, and he'd give her the European style kisses on both cheeks with everyone else looking on thinking 'what's going on there?' Highlight of her life. He's a cool guy apparently. I loved him as a footballer.
