I feel sorry for the poor sods who started supporting us just after our success in the 80's. But if you're still a fan to this day, then you're a true blue.

My father used to be a fan in the 80s but he's long since moved on

From Cork, and started supporting in 84 when I was 7. They were obviously good then, but I loved Gray, Southall and Sheedy.

First game in Goodison was in 94. Opening day. 2-2 v Villa in Vinny Samways debut.

Lived for a year in London and went to all the away games there - in the Rooney days. Pride of place on my bedside cabinet is a programme from a home game v Fulham which shows me singing in a crowd scene at Highbury the week before.

Haven't been to Goodison in about 6 years as I'm living in the Middle East. Determined to get back at least once before the move, and another trip will be required soon afterto see Bramley Moore.

Most of my best friends at home are LFC fans, so my hatred of thise lads has transferred to a hatred of the RS lol

Always felt so welcome in Liverpool. A great, friendly city.

Just as long as half and half scarves are never ever deemed acceptable at an Everton game

I was trying to post!
Never seen so many as I saw last night at Old Trafford....very sad. United real fans must be absolutely devastated - the soul has been ripped out of their club.

I have supported Everton since the early 80s and have followed them ever since. They are my local team.

I also support the 49ers in NFL and have done since my sister brought me their kit back as a small kid and I researched into the Gold Rush history which was cool.

I have visited Goodison hundreds of times and the place is engraved in me.

I have never had the opportunity to visit what was Candlestick park or the new Levi's stadium.

To be a fan is to feel emotional connection. Be that local or on the other side of the globe.

Radzinski against Southampton for me.

I think I've actually met less than 5 Evertonians since that day. Saw 2 in a bar upstate NY, I made it 3. The amount of angst was overwhelming. Can't imagine seeing it in person then..

Yep thats me. Although did start supporting the blues during the 86 FA Cup final when my brother said he was following the red team so out of spite I said I would follow the blue team. As an Aussie and only 9 years old at the time I did not know who the teams were. Started taking it seriously around 89-90 so pretty much just after our successful period. Only 1 cup since then so no glory hunting here.
