Player Valuation: £70m
O.K. I'm having a discussion with a fellow Blue . We're talking late 60's , early 70's , when , as both little more than Babies , we were taken to games from a very young age .
Anyway , I says about this game at Chelsea , I'd say '71 , could be a year either way . We lost 6 something . However , and the issue in question , I said it's the only time I can recall where Everton wore a full green kit . He will not have it .
Absolutely not . I , on the other hand , am adamant that I am correct - and dearly wish me arl fella was still alive , cause he went the game - .
So , can someone , Monty , James M , Treb' , Anyone , really , verify the validity of my argument , please , also , indeed point out the error of my ways if I turn out to be incorrect ???

Nice one you know .

Certo Verdi .

just checked on Everton Results

we put 5 past them at home in '70, shipped 5 away in '64/65

no mention of kits but might be a starting point for you, their change kit was white in that year so not a case of forgot ours and had to scav theirs.

Those were the Amber shirt/Blue shorts days, although the official away kit for 71-72 season was Amber shirts with green trim and Green shorts.

Any item being green for anyone but the goalie was so unusual then, so maybe that stuck in you mind LCAB?

Everton Change Kits - Historical Football Kits

Nice one , lads , but in spite of MANY illegal substances in the interim , I can defo not just remember the kit ; I seem to recall discussing it with Pappa F . As I say , he's not here anymore to confirm / deny , but I would swear to it .
P.S. I'm colour - blind , btw , but Green is Green , is Green , etc.
If not , I'm going to Doctors , asap .
Cheers though , men .

Could have a point there , Reid's .

Everton never played in a green kit.

And in those days there was only a home and away kit.....no third or fourth kit.

Our second kit then was amber.

There was a late Latchford era kit which had green and white piping alomg the shoulsers and down the sleeves.

We know this , mate . It was a one-off . I shall endeavour to prove it .
This was an away game at Chelsea . 2 / 3 years pre-Latch' , and 4/5 pre Diamond kit .
Nice one though .

Are you red-green colour blind or blue-yellow? Just out of interest... As my uncle (Spurs fan, for goodness sake) painted his kitchen pink and declared it "mint green".

i can't see the colour red, my eyes filter it from the spectrum and make it the same colour as sh1t.

*note: if you have this in reverse seek medical attention.
