hmm... it needs to be at least half decent.

When I was on 512k (downloads at about 50kb/second) I couldn't watch the live matches at all, but after upgrading to 1500 it's been fine on medium streaming quality.

For the liveaudio feeds, basically anything better than 56k dial up will do you.
