footy players wearing snoods/neck warmers - where do we stand?

I notice rent a quote Holloway has stated today that he 'wouldn't wear a snood because it makes you look like a bit of a ponce'. Roy Keane has banned them at Ipswich. Are they right, and would it bother you if an Everton player wore one?

Obviously not everyone, but sometimes it strikes me that the type of player wearing them wouldn't really be that fussed about getting stuck in, if needed, if you know what I mean......massive generalisation from me there =)
