If it's all a shell game, you don't quit when you're ahead, you only quit when you're fully out of steam. This 2/3s funding announcement gets the club 6 more months at least. Then Danno throws out a few concept pictures and we get another 3-6 months. Then all you have to do is drag it sufficiently past season ticket renewals before you let the horse die. So we're looking at a minimum of 15 months* before we see it ditched.

*at which point, in my opinion, we'll see a fully-financed project**

**at which point, I reckon, some multis will die and others will be redoubled with new efforts

#MeisOut!
Ha Ha. I see.

No mate, not for me.

I want us to backheel this now to save time and energy that could go into a realistic stadium project; and the thought of Everton taking on board upwards of 600M in debt in the unlikely event that this project comes to fruition is enough to put any right minded fan off...it's unsustainable for a club of our puny commercial size.

I don't believe you.

Let's say Everton took your advice, admitted they'd messed up and sacked this off. As soon as they 'pulled the plug' you and the rest on here would be in uproar about us having made that decision. Because you seem to do this a lot. You moan about something and give examples of things you'd do that you know are unlikely to happen so you can continue to moan and not be challenged on it.

If the Stadium project comes off, I would hope to see a big apology to Moshiri and the club on here in a lot of your posts. If it fails, as an optimist about the Stadium deal, I will have no problem in admitting I was wrong and put too much faith in the club and Moshiri in getting the Stadium done.

Just refurbish GP and have do with this endless search by morons for a new stadia cash cow to exploit.

But how do you go about accomplishing that without turfing out residents from the streets around the ground and shutting down the school that backs out onto Bullens Road

There's been loads of ways of proposed to cater to all parties. Take a look at the KEIOC site for them.

where there's a will there's a way.

I was an 8 but just heard Radio City news saying the Lib Dem leader Richard Kemp saying it will have to go through the council.

So I’ve gone for an optimistic 5 now.

I was relatively optimistic about this before, I actually thought we may see a design but...

1. It now looks it was almost certainly dependant on th CW games.
2. Moshiri is definitely not funding it or anything related. His failure to show probably indicates he is already moving on.
3. Anderson is buying time. Politically this isn't feasible.
4. No progress since Birmingham winning the games announced.
5. 2 years and still no design.
6. We are back to sell to buy which is probably another sign of Moshiri withdrawing.

I think they tried to gamble big with the club's money and failed probably because ultimately the agents knew the money wasn't there for long term sustainabilty.

What an absolute load of wank.

If Elstone is looking for a new job then it probably isn't a good sign either.

Still went for a 3 but that is heart ruling head.
