Not a fan of the 'banner' tactic. But I suppose it got more media comments than ever before. They still all side with BK though, suggesting we're somewhat insane for questioning where are the millions of TV revenue and misappropriated commercial funding has gone. How dare we. We should be happy with our Chang sponsorship and kitbag deals...
True the blokes on NBC said something along the lines of "bet the people who bought the banner feel silly now they won 3-0."
However that person is a stupid person. He's dumb. His intelligence is low. As is the intelligence of most pundits. They are also ill-informed on any team outside the top couple. So you have dumb people who are uninformed commenting on the story.
The banners can't make them smart people but it can make them do a little reading to find out what we're all so upset about. You can see this helping a little bit already -- more media outlets have been covering this lately. Now they are stupid and under informed as well -- but very slowly tactics like this will help inform more and more people in the media about the facts. Yes it's a somewhat nuanced argument which doesn't fit well in the media but that's not a reason to give up. It's not going to happen overnight but you can see a few small signs of progress here and there lately. Massive way to go still of course but worth a shot.
