From the way the first half went I thought we were riding our luck completely. We certainly missed James McCarthy. We dont defend enough outside the box..we have two to three players hovering round the opponent attacking with the ball yet don't tackle properly and allow him to get through. I can understand it more in the box with the way pens are given for hardly anything, but not outside. It was good to see Darron Gibson get a full game and get back to fitness in spite of his understandable rustiness in giving the ball away, though he was by no means the only one and its frustrating when we string a good move together to see it peter out because of a half-arsed wayward/underhit/overhit pass. Eto is a throroughbred...his class, movement and positioning stand out and Ive been surprised a bit how he puts himself about generally, getting stuck in, breaking up the opposition. His goal was a great touch, hopefully with more to come. Overall, having thought here we go again, I was pleased how we fought back, got the goal and actually could've nicked it given a few more minutes.

Lucky to get something out of that but we finished well. To be honest, they should of been out of sight before they ran out of gas. Apart from some fleeting moments, we never really got into it for the first hour or so. Their high pressing game caught up with them, got more space and time in midfield and were able to push them back into their own penalty area. We just about deserved the point in the end but you can't help but feel that if we play like that in the next round (if we progress), we might get served a bit of a pasting.

We were very lucky and I don't feel we deserved a draw, they should have been out of sight. Draw was a faboulous result for us after watching the match.

Eto is pure class, the ball sticks to the lad like glue.

Got the feeling that we under rated them. Good news is the other 2 will struggle there.

Thought we improved from the 60 minute mark and dominated the rest of the game. Krasnodar are a very tricky team and i'm delighted we got a point from probably the most difficult game we will have in the entire cup. Puts us in a very good position after the wolfsburg/lille draw. Also Gibson got a full go, Hibbert has played so much footy this week we probably wont see him for a while, Etoo had 90 minutes and poached a lovely goal from a bainesy cross!

Not very good again was it. If offered a draw before the game in Russia, I would have been happy, still am but the performances are worrying.

Can't seem to string 3 passes together unless it's the back 4 playing too each other and as soon as they are pressed hoof to nobody.

I'm not an Ossie hater but Him, Gibson and McGeady may as well not have been on the pitch yesterday. On a brighter note thought our Tony played well or have expectations of him gone so low any kind of performance looks awesome from the lid?

John Stones is getting better by the match. I think any team would struggle missing there 4 most creative players so let's hope they are back and soon.

Mate Mcgeady was a beast last night, looked fired up being back in Russia.

I'm not concerned yet tho. Fine margins at the moment which are conspiring against us. Some silly errors and injuries, along with a tough start and we are where we are.

I wouldn't say we'v really played badly (last night & swansea exc) and apart from Chelsea none of the other top sides have tore up any trees. We'll kick into top gear soon enough. Most likely when Ross the Boss returns!!

Ross will not be back yet for several weeks. So as long as we keep knocking out draws that will be okay.

We also played poorly against our neighbours fortunately they were also rubbish.

Never said I thought it was an easy game. I thought McGeady was poor again, my opinion. The way we played has been a worrying trend since the Chelsea game, it wasn't just last night we aren't playing well at the moment. Make as many excuses as you want, but they haven't clicked as a unit yet.

Long trip, half a team, tough game yada yada yada. Not good enough with the squad we have, lacking confidence and opposing teams are getting shots off against us every time they attack near enough.

The result was good the performance was not.

Respect to your opinion, but sometimes a 'good performance' isn't about flowing football and keeping possession for most of the game, its about digging deep, getting up and carrying on after you've made a mistake, and sticking at it. The Russians have been on the top of their game for a while, and so they were for the first 60 minutes or so last night, but in the end they were the more broken team. Thats what it takes in Europe, and we are learning, and Martinez is learning whats required. The team he picked last night was spot on, the sub at half time was exactly right. Gibson, Osman,Hibbert , and Eto'o all played 90 minutes, saving others legs for the weekend, and we got a draw. If we progress in this competition, and I think we will, be prepared for a few more games were we win or draw ugly. That was Martinez first Eurpean away game, and he could not have had a tougher baptism, but I'll bet he's learned a lot from the experience.

Yes Steve we got a draw, but even RM has said basically we were fortunate but it is points that count not performance. From other accounts Osman and Gibson were very poor if they had been subbed at 70 with fresh legs may have converted that to 3 points!

Anybody else feel that under our ex-boss we would be sitting on 1 or 0 points after these two games with the team in such poor form and with low confidence?

We have the players and attitude now, that even in poor form, we are dangerous when we work enough players into the final third. Krasnodar knew they couldn´t switch off and it tired them out.

not really considering he breezed qualification in every group stage he was in.

I will give a lot of credit to Krasnador yesterday their pressing was fantastic. They seemed to go in 20 minute spells, press then drop and take breather. It did for them in the end they looked out on their feet, tough place to go and play if they show that commitment every week.

I don't think we "ground them down".

I thought they just ran out of steam.

Yep, whilst they were fit, they were a lot better than us though, but we had more stamina and it was only when they were at there most knackered we even had a chance. They ground themselves down to be honest running like we should of been.
