Liverpool at home first. This really annoys me. Why would the club request it? It's always at 12:45 and we have never got going so they get an easy ride at Goodison just like every pre Xmas team does.

Don't think it's necessarily that. More that Moyes bottles it and uses stupid tactics then we get a player sent off or a penalty given against us for nothing.

We do seem to beat all the boss teams at Goodison after Xmas though.

Every time we play them with something actually riding on the result it is at their place.

Oh yeah it does always fall during our awful run rather than our good one but meddling by the referee usually comes into it.

Villa ffs. I remember the day the ref disallowed Beckfords screamer, and Bent scored an offside goal while they were still showing the replays of becks. Resulted in a *drum roll* draw

I'd prefer UTD at home than one of the promoted teams. Everyone's up for it on the opening day, especially the promoted teams. The UTD game is a big one no matter when it's on.

If you play like you did against us at old trafford were ****ed mate

I am just hoping Jelavic might make a difference,he has my hopes up that much for us this season, but you know what will happen to him before then with our luck, not a bad little start of games for man utd i think.

think your right about the fixture, round 98 or 99, game was a sunday, think it finished 1-1

can't remember the scorers though

haven't read whole thread so sorry if its been posted.

it was 98/99 cant remember who scored for them but jaap stam scored an own goal in injury time from Barmby cross. we also played them at home 1st game in 05/06 van nistelrooy and rooney in a 2-0 win, think that was final score. (1st time he kissed their badge). unfortunately i was at both games so i won't go to this one just in case it's me.
