Just dont want a team who just come up, got a feeling we are due for a top 6 opening day fixture , Chelsea or United

I feel we regularly get a newly promoted team & it doesn’t seem like it’s just a 1 in 17 chance each season. 5 times since 2006 & 3 of the last 6 seasons.

I just want an annoying fixture out of the way early, like away to any of the top 6 or long trip to Brighton or Southampton

It just seems weird to make a team play back to back competitive games vs the same team at the same venue. Maybe it's happened before but I doubt it.

Honestly wouldn't mind a 'difficult' start on paper. Should be looking to come flying out of the blocks.

^ Still think this. A home fixture against one of the top 5/6 for the opener would be good.

The Goodison derby will be right near the end of the season. The media will want to set up a potential “won the league at Goodison Park” scenario for them and a revenge narrative.
