....That we'll be going into a derby without the inferiority complex. Martinez is an ultra-positive manager and will have had them bouncing all week....there will have been no fear around Finch Farm and nobody will have been stashing their pea-shooters and catapults into their shorts waiting to take on the heavy artillery that the Sh1te will psychologically bring with them.
Roberto will have the upper hand over Brenda having built that Swansea team for him...Roberto knows it, and Brenda knows it.

I hope you're right...

But i'm always nervous as **** going into a Derby, and whilst form goes out the window, we haven't played particularly great since beating Hull, even though we have picked up 8 points, with Suarez and Sturridge, they have a good partnership, which quite frankly is probably one of the best in the prem.

I have said that i'll look forward to the Derby at Anfield knowing we wont go in with our White Flag, same with OT and that, so the same should really apply. I just hope Bobby gets it. If he gets it, and what it means to the supporters, it could be absolutely Huge, and really kick start our season.

I was made up the way Martinez was talking, really positive. Just wish I wasn't so nervous!!

You are right that we haven't played well since Hull, but oddly, and I never thought I'd hear myself saying this, but Martinez does seem to have a knack of getting results "ugly" or at least not playing at our best. I see this as an encouraging sign on last year.

We will need that resilience on Saturday. There's no doubt Liverpool are in better form, but I do wonder about their ability to get involved in a battle. Players like Coutinho/Sturridge might not want to know. I really think Barry/McCarthy have a critical role in trying to limit the supply into their forwards.

As long as we don't overplay in our own half in the first 15 minutes, I think we can really have a go.

If we lose it won't be because we didn't have a go.

This manager won't have as bad a derby record as Moyes, i'm convinced

They'll not be soft, they'll be going down near any pressure, an early booking for either, and they're pretty much effectiveless for the rest of the game.

He especially needs to be getting about Lucas and Gerrard with a lot of intensity.

Sadly, I think McCarthy be their No.1 target for an early yellow as Barry is a wise old dog and hopefully won't be dragged into the flying tackles

I just can't be positive about it.

I've tried but my brain won't let me.

Moyes has done that to a lot of us, before his time no matter how bad we were playing and how ahead of us they were at the time form went out the window in the derby, but that all changed. Im positive because Moyes has gone. Win lose or draw at the weekend my opion of Martinez wont be dented, just a bit of pride

, i'm convinced
