Good post mate.

I think the only comment I would make is regarding something that has already been picked up on; your use of Lennon on the left hand side!

Right Winger or emergency Right Back. That is the sum of his positional flexibility in my opinion!

Looking at your bolded players whilst taking into account my Lennon comments, this is our starting eleven:

GK: Joel
RB: Coleman
LB: Baines
CB: Stones
CB: Jagielka
CM: McCarthy
CM: Barry
AM: Barkley
RW: Deulofeu
LW: Mirallas
CF: Lukaku

That is not a bad starting eleven at all.

Obviously we will make signings, but that is a decent base to work from for Koeman.

Ah yeah. Proofreading isn't my strong suit, just ask anybody who reads my USMNT previews .

Yeah, clearly we're gonna need more wingers too.

Whilst I agree we need signings we don't - in my opinion - need quite as many as people make out. Need to remember it's more about the system the players play in than just pure quality alone. Leicester won the league with Danny Simpson as their sole RB and he is pretty dreadful at football.

We need 1 backup for rb as oviedo was not good there.
1 CB who can head crosses, maybe koeman can teach stones .
2 dm as McCarthy and barry(our best player but getting too old) are not good.
1 lm is required too, kone can't be allowed to play there.
1 creative cm.
1 backup striker.
1 goalie.

This summer's international fun is winding to a close. The preseason schedule has been released. And it's the most exciting Everton transfer window in recent memory

We're still waiting on a potential Director of Football, so transfer speculation is even more pointless than normal, but we can still figure out what we have in the squad to better predict who's coming in. So, presenting...

Likely starting XI in bold, out-of-position possibilities in italics.

Couple of disclaimer: I'm basing this off of a mix of Martinez's squad selections and a mix of personal opinion. Who knows what Koeman will do exactly. Like I'm hoping and praying the Kone and Cleverly as wingers experiment will be put to bed. Or that there are a lot of academy players out there that may or may not go out on loan or even get a first team squad number.

Basically, I'm making some assumptions, bear with me.

Seems to me that we're in need of a keeper and right back. There's some definite dead wood to clear out for strikers. Possibly some centrebacks as well, we'll have to see how far Browning and Galloway have progressed.

DISCUSS!

Seems like Koeman is going to have to earn every penny of his cash just chopping out the dead wood. That's before he even thinks about bringing people in.

I come in here, trying to educate the English peoples on things we use to nerd out on sports, I mean sport.

I use their dumb spellings for things just to make it more comfortable.

Still get mocked.

'sake. I'm going back to world football. See you in August. :P
