Am I the only one disappointed with our season ???

I think largely, its been ****e. It was good, for that period between the Sunderland FA Cup win, till the Jelavic goal at Wembley !

Considering the squad we had for the first half of the season i think 7th is good, but when you look at the performances it's been the same old same old, crap first half with a good second half.

When our crowds took a big drop, and Moyes in an interview mentioned entertainment and giving us something to watch, that's when it changed and we started to play some decent stuff.

I truly believe that if you try and play the right way, you will get the rewards.

Gotta admit i was very impressed with him yelling at our team to constantly keep the ball on the floor in the wolves game. Makes me now believe that he feels we have to have the right players to play that game, and lets face it, we do so much better with that in mind compared to the dross we played in the 1st half of the season. Tbh, you can say play more attacking formations, drop cahill etc. but i doubt with the squad we had, it would have made too much difference. Pienaar, gibbo, jelly and an imrpoved osman have been the catalyst of this

For me, Heitinga playing, along with Gibson in front of him, is a BIG part of us playing better. 2 players that like it on the floor.
I have loved Jag's, but he was just hoofing it, as soon as he got the thing. He has tried to play it more, now he is playing with Heitinga mind, Even if he has looked shaky defensively.

To be fair to Jags when he's played for England he's rarely if ever resorted to hoofing the ball, whether having Gibson in front of him to pick the ball up from him has helped.

Well, if you watch the 2 England games back to back, 1 with Jags/terry and 1 with Cahill/Terry, you will notice that Jags still just hoofs the fecker compared to Cahill.... granted not as much as with us.

But, like we said, Gibson is a key to us keeping it on the floor. Without him, I worry we may revert back to hoof.

Money matters here folks. 2 million is almost what it will take to get Pienaar. Finishing above THEM is SOMETHING.

Finishing 7th will change the outlook completely to finishing eighth and behind liverpool. both in terms of player positivity, convincing players to come and convincing players not to leave the club.

I heard today that the Premier League has a helicopter hired for Sunday in order to ensure that the 7th place trophy is actually presented to the 7th placed team at the end of the game.. The helicopter will be somewhere in mid Wales/borders and will travel north or south depending on the results.

I think there is enough space for it to land behind the Park End.

Great finish to the season!

(with that I'm off to Beijing, have a great time on Sunday, and roll on the opening of the transfer window:))

I'll bet it won't be the only window opened during your stay.
