Financial Fair Play investigation

Undoubtedly. But when that set of accounts was released the other 19 clubs were told “no case to answer.” Our relegation rivals said are you sure and were separately told “no case to answer”.

I reckon we may have put stuff in the Covid pot aggressively because we had to (e.g. we could have sold Richy and Dom but couldn’t etc). Probably embarrassed the PL because their rules may have been too vague. Not a great thing for us to exploit, if we did. Then other mitigating factors like Mosh’s pocket money being taken away, our record set piece taking signing being reduced to a saleable value of ABSOLUTE ZERO for reasons outside of football. Seemed like we looked miles over but were only punished with spending restrictions and info sharing.

Seem to be the next set of accounts, that actually show some good progress in righting the ship, that got the PL’s back up. If we have misrepresented something deliberately, or failed to comply with an undisclosed restriction, then we are bang to rights. If the commission does its job properly and finds we have been stupid, there’s little to complain about, other than inconsistency with other clubs.
that's Everton for you. One rule for us, another for others.

Premier league can recommend all they want but it’s entirely up to the commission. Currently all we have is some journalist not quoting anyone or providing any evidence of anything.

Indeed, so now we know a penalty as put about in the papers, but are still awaiting the guilty or not guilty verdict and any actual sentence. It’s just a case of wait and see…..

FFP was apparently introduced to protect clubs by restricting spending beyond their means. A 12-point deduction would lead to relegation and potential financial ruin.

Some irony that…

I think someone else has said it, given how we've worked with the Premierleague the last 3 years, it makes them look like mugs if we're found guilty.

Aren't the commission there to hear the evidence and determine guilt or innocence? any punishment will be delt out by the pl?

It’s just a hit piece.

It says maximum of 12 points, not recommended 12 points. Could be suspended in any case.

We’ve worked with the PL throughout, they’ve sanctioned all our transfers for a while.

If they actively have a go at us they’ll look very silly.

Open your eyes mate, when nothing happens with Man City will you open them then?
Tbf there is massive government on the Premier League to get its house in order. Wouldn't be surprised if we're just the unlucky ones next in line who get made an example of so City and Chelsea know what coming. And given we're beign threatened with a 12 point deduction, God knows what's in store for City.
