Their first today was a direct result of a poor Baines free kick. Follow follow follow...

I dont want to get on his back, but this is true.

Straight into the first man, rebounds in the centre, they counter and score.

Evertons free-kicks are total gash , time and time again, to lull the opposing defense into a false sense of security. Then we send in a free-kick of absolute perfection that beats the first man. This dumbfounds the opposing defense , and we score.

Anyone here see Pienaar's free kick against City last week???????

Arteta so often fails to beat the first man - corners or free kicks, but can then produce the odd piece of magic as well, frustrating.

We've problems with crossing. Why do we need to restrict ourselves to crossing. I'm glad we can craft out space to deliver cross, but anything beyond that is absymal at times. Why are we not cutting into the penalty area from the flanks to cross at a closer range, it'll cause more mayhem than far out. What happen to pull back to the middle? When the defense is deep and anticipating a cross, the area just outside/inside the area is often neglected. We're too single minded theres not much variety to trouble

I feel that Baines really needs to work on his set pieces and crossing, or just hand that responsibility to somebody else. Pienaar scored a free kick the other day, so why isn't he having a go at them more often!
