Essex Blue
Player Valuation: £10m
It's clearly not.
Tottenham have gotten that extra money and then some in the last few years and yet they still can't get in the top 4 regularly, despite having twice the revenue we do.
We do not have the financial strength to regularly get into the top 4, that extra £17m will not fund the wages of new players. People need to wake up and accept the fact that getting into the Champions League is not going to change Everton. It's sad that people think it will.
Tottenham have finished in 4th spot twice in the last 3 years, and it may have been 3 times in 4 years if their star player wasn't getting injured whilst messing about in the Europa League. In fact, it still could be. But I think they will miss out, by about one single point!
So tell me then, if 17million isn't sufficient enough to make us more competitive, and bridge the massive gap of 3 or 4 points that exists between us and 4th spot, how much money would be sufficient enough to do just that?
It's how you spend your money that counts. And when you can get 3 Kevin Mirrallas, 3 Leighton Baines, a Fellaini, or god knows how many Darron Gibsons for 17 million quid, then I think an extra 17 million pound is very significant indeed.
It certainly isn't 'pointless'. What a strange argument.
