I started a career mode with CD Everton in Chile, it was alright, but there is no real money in the Chilean league, so did about 2 seasons there, then moved to Cruzeiro in Brazil, did quite well there, but I've now moved on to the Russian league with Zenith.
One thing that was annoying in the South American leagues is that the South American champions league is so poor and not really like the actual Copa Libatadores, and I don't even think that the secondary South American competition even exists in FIFA. Also when you win it it doesn't count as a major trophy you have won on your managerial record and the prize money for it is poor, less than £5m, I got more for one of the preseason tournaments that I won. Also you don't get to play in the FIFA world club, which I am a bit surprised is not in FIFA the game!
By comparison the money at Zenith is mental, I took over an aging team, most of the good players were 30+, but still worth money and I had a transfer budget of £200m. So I am currently trying to ship out the old men and dead wood and bring in younger, better players
I've found moving clubs awkward at times though, there are no available clubs at the end of the season or the start of the season and you don't get approached for league jobs, just national teams. I preferred the old system on FIFA where you could move at the end of the season and if you were a good manager you could pick from pretty much any league, I like to build a team, win a few things and move on to a new league, that's difficult to do in this version
