Ferguson

In Ferguson, a series of random events brought two individuals together. In their encounter, one responded to requests for conforming to authority with verbal abuse and a physical attack, to the point that the person in authority was left struggling with a weapon in a life and death situation. Ask any cop about the subject of hanging on to his weapon. After the encounter in the car, one was bound to pursue and the other to get away. When the attacker turned to attack his pursuer, he was gunned down because he made it clear that if he reached the policeman, he would kill him if he could. This is what I believe, and if you don't, then fine. This seems to conform to the physical evidence at the scene. These questions have nothing to do with race, which is the macguffin in this tale. Race is being harvested in this case for power and control of other unrelated matters. There is much stored energy in the resentment of black America to local police, pretty universally. This energy is being cashed in for the benefit of individuals like Al Sharpton, etc.

Throwing out all of the eye-witness accounts?

Al Sharpton's influence is overstated.

Ah c'mon. If that cop Wilson genuinely feared for his life against the incredibly strong, tall and "demonic" black kid, he would have called for back up before even thinking about pursuing. We all know roughly what happened. Wilson knew exactly what he was doing when he gave chase, he was going to kill the kid, he was going to gun him down. The black kid ran away after the tussle and heard a shot being fired from behind him. What could he do? Continue running and possibly be gunned down from behind? (In hindsight this was the best option because the post mortem would show that he was hit from behind). He turned around trying to stop Wilson from continuing to shoot but Wilson couldn't care less. He let off 4 shots and 2 more in the head to make sure that dangerous "demonic" black kid was no more.

You want the police to kill Al Sharpton for unpaid tax?
No, but neither should it be a secret from the public. How did Al make enough to owe that kind of money to the tax man anyway? He must have had a good broker or been very lucky at the track, I suppose. My reverend doesn't nail down that kind of dosh.

Oh, and way to miss the point, while I'm here...

Clearly, we disagree. I'm not drilling this down any more.

I'm with you, serious tax dodgers should be shot.

In the knee's though.

He says he did call for backup.

A lot of people have quite different views on these matters.

Me personally, I have no idea and will never understand the issues as I'm not black. A lot of people from afar are quick to say " people are bringing race into it " but I have no idea what it feels like to be called the N word or in a community that felt persecuted.

Lets be honest, if we were the cop in Ferguson we would all try to make sure we don't goto jail. Also, its not uncommon for the police to protect themselves and twist the facts to protect themselves.

Not having a go at police in anyway, the majority of my dealings with the police have been good. My neighbour and a few of my best mates are pigs.
