I joked a few weeks ago we'd be top of the table if Osman could shoot and that was before he missed another great chance against Stoke. Putting him in a position to waste more of those chances doesn't appeal to me. Naismith needs a shot in the hole (hee-hee-hee). Coleman isn't as negative as someone would make out if we have someone else for RB -- we saw v. Spurs what happens if you put an attack minded player out there (Barkley) who wants to drift to the center. Does Barkley have the discipline to stay at home and protect Coleman?

Oviedo left and Pienaar right might work ... could shake Pienaar out of his poor form a little if he has to switch up his style somewhat. Osman in the middle with Gibbo (Naismith up front) and bring Barkley on in the second half.

I agree that Osman's shots are as weak as piss, but then again so are Fellaini's on occasion, as are those by Pienaar. The second striker role is about more than shooting ability tho, and I think Osman would be the most effective in holding the ball up and creating opportunities for other players.

THIS ABSOLUTELY THIS

Great if there fit because we need as much depth as possible but the last time I checked moyes said hibbo has to have an op and nev has not long been under the knife. Have I missed something?

Think Moyes will just bring in hitz and push Osman further forward maybe see Barkley for the last 20 on the right in place of Naismith

Desipte the clamour for Barkley there are surely only three potential scenarios that Moyes will consider.
You've all watched Everton enough over the last 10 years to know how he operates; safety first, comfort in those who do as they're asked which means.

1) Hitzlesberger into the middle, Osman pushed in to support Jelavic - most likely; the 'hole' is still Osman's best position
2) Oviedo on the left, Pienaar on the right, Naismith to support Jelavic - a little adventurous, removes the Baines/Pienaar axis
3) Neville into the middle, Osman pushed into support Jelavic - dependent on Neville's fitness. This would be #1 if he was 100%

I don't like how Gibson said it won't be long until he's playing, and it was another few weeks, and when neville says something similar it looks as if he could be back in the line up within days. Be assed!

The thought of Neville being back makes me depressed. Why the hell is he the only one of our players to make an early come back?!

He's pretty hardcore and dedicated to his fitness regimes apparently so not that surprising. It's the kind of thing it's hard to see as a fan but if one or two of our younger players started copying Phil's work ethic we'd be a lot better off.
