Fellaini

As I've always said not arsed if Fellaini goes, the funds that we will get for him should be enough to replace him and get another quality player in.

in theory maybe, but every manager and every scouting system is flawed and even great managers make expensive mistakes. in fact we seem to make more mistakes when we have money to spend. the other thing I keep worrying about is that we can't ignore how big an advantage it has been to us to keep players who know each others game, that's why I would play Distin next to Jagielka till his legs dropped off

Looking at their squad, he'd be a good buy for Arsenal. If £24m is the release clause then we just have to deal with it. A replacement can be found for much less than that.

Kenwright with his usual double speak has said no players for sale but on the otherhand Fellaini could go, It would seem that is the only way Martinez will get funds. It looks to to be an invite to other clubs to make an offer never mind the talk of a release clause

Why do you think that?

There was money there to get Fer in January which wasn't spent, there's the money which came in for finishing 6th, there's
the extra TV money, and possibly from other sources.

http://www.adifferentleague.co.uk/p6_0_20483_-.html............. looks like the arse are in for him, still speculation though

haven't we been here about a hundred times though. one person makes something up a load of lazy journalists repeat it because they can't be bothered phoning clubs to find out its not true. eventually they will get something right and say there you go its always inevitable. when they say its happened and not 'there are rumours' or even vaguely state a source its a clear sign its nonsense

I actually want us to sell him. He doesn't do enough for us to be a 24 million pound player. Also we stagnated for 3/4 years because Moyes refused to sell players to fund incoming transfers. I would rather have 3 eight mil pound players in positions we need than Fellaini.

Take no notice, someone else will be in the frame next week.

At the end of the day we are i need of a few playersand unless bill coughs up some then fellani is our most expensive asset . It would be nice to see him playing in the centre and not up top but there other cheaper options out there . I dont think he would suit martinez style unless he has one job and thats to break up play

Think we have to be realistic. Fellaini is at the right age to move, he's given the club decent service and the 20+ mill we'd get for him could buy 2 or 3 good players. My ideal situation is we keep everyone and add one or two top quality assets but that's not likely. If we could give Martinez £30 mill to get a striker and a midfielder it'd be perfect :(

Sell him asap. He obviously wants to play CL next season and the sooner he moves on the sooner we can replace him. I think we could get two good quality players with his fee and wages.

The quicker this gets done, the quicker Roberto can start to stamp his mark on the team.
I also think he wont go to Arsenal. This is just the start, other teams will step up now that Arsenal have apparently met his release clause.
