Face it.

When the whole squad is lacking in current form, it shows in EVERYONE'S game.

When the whole team is in cracking form, it shows in EVERYONE'S game.

Currently, we're in bad form. Not the first time I've seen it in an Everton squad. Won't be the last time either.

none of them are playing well

ok I know people may not agree but apart from distan im struggling to see who is playing well, Timmy is having a nightmare, Yobo looked like a beginner last night and the big lad with the funny hair looked like he was in a dream (lost). Well there always the boxing to get excited about but i just cant see haye even landing a punch:(

Some people may disagree with this but in the Premier League the good teams have pace. The game is extremely fast and requires high levels of stamina. Although we have injuries people like Fell, Billy, Rodwell (to some extent, Cahill aren't quick and don't seem to want to play to this sort of intensity! Having a good touch will get you so far but you need to have more to cope in the PL. Personally Fell and Billy wont develop this to there game quickly (and i mean in t he next 12 months) if ever and that is worrying especially as we have spend a combined £25 million!!

Steve, did you watch the game last night or just highlights bud?
Distin was appalling yesterday, and Fellaini was the only outfield player to come out with any credit in my opinion.

Agree.

The scrutinization of Fellaini is getting slightly tiresome though, as is the constant repetition of his price tag. Get past it - thats for when your analysing Moyes.

Cahill and Distin have been massively underwhelming. Certainly Cahills worst season for us by some distance.

Cahill has more than justified his transfer fee, Fellaini is yet to even justify his signing on fee.

You need to stop playing football manager you mate .

Living up to transfer fee wise, Distin must make you fume. £5.5m, 31, we'll never get a penny back for him. He'll be straight out the squad as soon as Jagielka is back.

I think this season and yesterday especially summed up why we need to move away from players like Cahill and Fellaini and bring in a proper 'number 10', a more gifted footballer so to speak.

We basically play them as target men and they are only there because both drop in and make it a five man midfield when we don't have the ball. It's a big part of Moyes' defensive approach, keep it tight and get men behind the ball.

Fellaini, even when he's good, just drifts in and out of games and doesn't really contribute in one area. He doesn't dominate the middle of the park, he isn't great at winning the ball back (although he's improved) and he certainly isn't going to make a killer pass or open things up.

He just doesn't show any amazing potential in one area and I've yet to see him dominate a game or even patches in games. Jack Rodwell is inconsistent and patchy but when he's good, even at 18, he's shown he has the right tools needed to do the things mentioned.

Don't get me wrong, he's a useful player to have and he's not anywhere near as bad as people make out but he's certainly not a player who we should be looking to build a team around. He's a bit of a drifter really.

Cahill is the same, but he's 29 and isn't going to be around forever. I've always said it's a myth that he is our most important player, because he's not and never has been. It's our inability to play 4-5-1 that has always been our problem, because of that he's always been a shoe in.

Cahill is a player you want when you've got creativity and naturally gifted footballers around him. When he hasn't got the likes of Pienaar, Arteta and Gravesen (back in 04/05) around him he doesn't really excel. Your banking on players like him and Fellaini to step up and they simply don't have the tools to do so. They really are players who step when the likes of Pienaar and Arteta step up.
