Ive stopped, I always take the fun out if it, I won the league, the Uefa and the Carling in my first season, my strike force of Dzeko and Villa where unstoppable and my midfield of Arteta, Toulalan, Fabregas and Cahill where peerless.

I see Distin for what it was, a neccesary signing, he will provide cover and he has a wealth of prem experience.

Im being well harsh on Fellaini, cos I expect more from him, he hasnt really kicked on from last season, if anything hes got worse, his tracking of runners, his tackling and his constant jogging around the pitch are starting to really, really annoy me.

He still has his pluses, ive always said his ball retention is superb. He very rarely loses the ball, his passing whilst short, is always decent, he has pluses, but the more I see of him, the more I realise that hes not the player for us.

Cahill is a player you want when you've got creativity and naturally gifted footballers around him. When he hasn't got the likes of Pienaar, Arteta and Gravesen (back in 04/05) around him he doesn't really excel.

True, the best way to go would probably be to play Saha and Yakubu together and hope they pull off a bit of magic and at the very least, hold the ball up and make it stick.

As individuals they've got more technical ability and creativity than our midfield combined, which is a bit of a shambles really.

It's important to remember that Fellaini is only 21, so we have many years of his contract before he reaches his prime, and he will be given the right players around him eventually.

Cahill on the other hand is nearing 30, and we don't have the same opportunity for patience. For him, we need him to be firing on all cylinders every season.

Timmy is a midfielder, despite our desire to label him as a 2nd striker, and therefore should be a very good footballer in the true sense of the word.
He really doesn't compare in the silky skill department of other midfielders though, and is not as good as Fellaini on the ball.

We can't afford these guys the luxury of getting a perfect cross to latch on to, or a great through ball every game.

Even I could put the ball in the net with a perfect assist.

We need them to create their own chances, and with it chances for others, and out of the two, Fellaini would win hands down in a comparison chart this season, and indeed last season.

Not many people would want to see Timmy go, but his performances must improve quickly, or I fear Moyes will accept a decent offer soon if it continues.

Professional sportsmen in other sports don't eat if they don't perform.

Football players are in a very fortunate position, but for me, last years saviour is this years pain in the ass where footballers are concerned if they are playing crap. When you earn millions from clubs, there is no room for sentiment.

It occurs to me that we might be better playing Tim up front by himself and packing our substandard defence..................it has worked before. Jo and the Yak just aren't up to the sole striker role and our defence does need bolstering badly

I think its more about what we're missing then what or who is doing anything specifically wrong.

Clearly there is no spark in the side, fitting square pegs into round holes doesnt seem to be working the wonders it has in the past - its time for plan B - and thats January - we need more cover for Arteta and Pienaar - simples.

And besides, if you play in midfield, and don't play on the wing, then you play central.

By definition, an attacking midfielder is a central midfielder who is stationed in an advanced midfield position, usually behind the strikers.
