Fellaini Tonight......

Always been his biggest fan, and defended his corner on numerous forums in the past.
Not the best game I've seen him play, but he shows why he shouldn't be second choice time and time again.

Still need to do a lot more to justify his price, especially with billy on 9m.

Price isn't so important really, and has unfortunately been a weight around his neck for many people.

It's important to notice the things he does in a game that don't always catch the eye.

The way he plays for the team, and not in a selfish way.

His control of the ball under pressure is by far the best of any of our players in my opinion.

He can shoot, he can use his head, and can find a great pass.

His work rate is second to none, and he covers the whole pitch relentlessly.

The balls that don't find the target are often a result of the recipient not being on the same wavelength.

His tackling has improved 100% and it's been a long time since a ref took a dislike.

He played last season with a broken back, and has had health problems in the pre-season too.

He doesn't speak English too well either.

Our joint highest goal scorer last year, with far less time on the pitch than Cahill.

He has so many aspects to his game, that Moyes really doesn't know how best to play him, and I have a feeling he has been given a free role.

£15 mill? Cheap at twice the price, and had we bought him this year, with the inflated prices, we would have probably have had to pay an awful lot more.

Once Moyes gets the team balanced, and we get into our stride, I see Fellaini as being a key player once again.

Agreed 100%(y)

It's important when we are so financially restrain. I can't help thinking if we had spend 15m on someone else.

It's important to notice the things he does in a game that don't always catch the eye.
I thought 15m should catch our eyes more often than not?

The way he plays for the team, and not in a selfish way.
Agree. Basic anyway, nothing impressive.

His control of the ball under pressure is by far the best of any of our players in my opinion.
Agree and disagree, he lose the ball often when someone more nimble tries to pick the ball off him.

He can shoot, he can use his head, and can find a great pass.
Agree

His work rate is second to none, and he covers the whole pitch relentlessly.
Agree, he improve a lot compare to his jog pace at the start of his everton career.

The balls that don't find the target are often a result of the recipient not being on the same wavelength.
This is just an excuse. Look at billy's debut.

His tackling has improved 100% and it's been a long time since a ref took a dislike.
Agree

He played last season with a broken back, and has had health problems in the pre-season too.
Time will tell

He doesn't speak English too well either.
He's lazy to learn.

Our joint highest goal scorer last year, with far less time on the pitch than Cahill.
This is one reason why he is still playing.

He has so many aspects to his game, that Moyes really doesn't know how best to play him, and I have a feeling he has been given a free role.
Agree, he play so much better for leige and belgium team.

£15 mill? Cheap at twice the price, and had we bought him this year, with the inflated prices, we would have probably have had to pay an awful lot more.
Not really, we could have give him a miss and go for someone else if we have more time in the transfer window anyway.

Once Moyes gets the team balanced, and we get into our stride, I see Fellaini as being a key player once again.
IF.

Still think he looks a bit awkward on the ball and noticed a few passes went astray. Should get his bloody hair cut so he can see where the other players are.

I'm a fair minded guy, and welcome any opinion regardless of whether it different to mine, but what I don't really agree with is foolhardy comments, such as have been highlighted in red.

By your own admission, you didn't see the match last night, so how on earth can you comment on Bilyaletdinovs debut, just as you mocked peoples summary of Gosling last night?

Lol gosling is now "great". I did not see the match last night, so can't comment on that, but if my memories serve me well, we can say simon davies was "great" too.

Axlswhk behave :)

Forgive me blue mate. Even though i did not watch the game it's not difficult to know billy had 3 assist on his debut. Saying felly lack understanding after one full season whereas billy made and immediate impack just baffled me.

Wel if you are going by price, then is Bilyaletdinov a bargain when Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar and Saha cost nearly the same added together.

As he is tall and plays for Everton, he will be seen as the Duncan Ferguson type of player, even though he is not malicious he is clumpy at times. Great game by the big man, hopefully he can take his form into the Premier League this weekend

I couldn't watch the game yesterday so I can't comment on his performance, but I agree 100% with everything you said based on previous performances.

He shouldn't be judge on his price, it's not his fault and IMO for all his potential he is well worth it, you also got to take into account that he was the only who was willing to sign for us and be part of this squad. Moutinho would have been great but he turned us down and so did others. So we should support him and stop bashing him.

Just look at his age and all he offers us on the pitch, all he needs is players around him who know how to play on the ground. Yes he is slow changing directions but other than that he is very good midfielder. Once Arteta gets back we'll dominate possession and that's what wins game (most of the time). I just can't wait to see this squad on the field.

-----------------Howard--------------
------Heitinga--Yobo--Jags--Baines----
--------------------------------------
-----------------Rodwell--------------
----------Fellaini---------Arteta--------
-----Pienaar--------------------Bilya----
-----------------Yakubu----------------

and we would still got players like Saha, Jo, Cahill, Distin, Neville, Neill, Osman and Gosling on the bench. Definitely a great squad. (y)

THE BIG FELLA IS BOSS !!!!! :D

Fellaini is sheer class and is perfect for Rodwell . If those two gel & Billy gels with Baines as he did last night then things are looking a hell of alot better than they were .
