Reading this thread has been far more painful than any trip to the dentist I've experienced. Grand Old Forum should provide their members with free anaesthetics!

The lack of Wisdom shown by some posters leaves a lot to be desired, no matter how painful this may be, the Belgian FA are well within their rights, In fact the root of this issue dates back a case taken by the French FA back in the earlies 90's involving Frederick Novacaine, he was a U21 player with a sweet left foot. He got injured in a training camp when he clashed with the hard as nails defender Raul Tar-Tar. Some people cant seem to understand this, its a if you have to drill it into them. I dunno sometimes its like pulling teeth here.

What times kick off on Saturday? Tooth-hurty?

BAN him right now...!!!!

Pre-emptive from Sharpy there.

Everton are embroiled in a row with Belgium coach Dick Advocaat after he tried to prevent Marouane Fellaini playing against Wolves on Saturday.

Advocaat reacted furiously to Fellaini pulling out of Wednesday’s World Cup qualifier against Estonia, due to the effects of dental surgery, and instructed his bosses to invoke FIFA’s five-day rule.
Everton duly received a fax from the Belgian FA on Tuesday but claimed they could not be held accountable for what appears to be a misunderstanding between Advocaat and the midfielder, who played the full 90 minutes against Turkey on Saturday.

‘We released Marouane for both games and have complied with all our obligations,’ said spokesman Ian Ross.
‘He had an understanding with the manager that if he played on Saturday, he’d be released from the Wednesday game. The manager appears to have changed his mind.’
FIFA are expected to rule in Everton’s favour

Is it just something the Belgian FA impose and not the English FA? Meaning Rooney etc would be able to play. But because its just the Belgian FA it means Fellaini wont play.

Like the way we've flipped it back to the national team and on Fellaini saying - we sent him out to play, not our fault he has to get his teeth done and you've let him off.

Im feeling really i'll by most of the post's here...

Felli In Clear For Wolves

Everton are confident Marouane Fellaini will be able to face Wolves on Saturday.
Reports in Tuesday's papers suggested the Belgian FA were ready to invoke FIFA's five-day rule and prevent the midfielder from lining up for the Toffees this weekend.
Fellaini requires surgery to remove a troublesome tooth and has been taking antibiotics and playing through the pain for several weeks.

He believed he had struck a deal with his country to feature in their first game of the international break, a 2-0 win over Turkey, and miss the second - which is in Estonia on Wednesday - in order to go under the knife.
And Everton are confident that there will be no sanctions against the Club as they complied with FIFA rules by releasing the player for international duty.
The issue is, in fact, between Fellaini and his national coach Dick Advocaat.
"As a club, we have met all the required obligations," explained Everton's head of PR Ian Ross.
"We were required to release Marouane Fellaini for the two international games - which we did. We were told that the player had struck an agreement with the Belgian national manager which meant he would be available for their game on Saturday but would then be omitted from Wednesday's game as he required minor surgery to remove a wisdom tooth.
"It would appear that the manager changed his mind and told Marouane that he would, after all, be needed on Wednesday night.
"Marouane said he still intended to go ahead with the operation - hence the resulting problem. It is a dispute between player and manager and does not, as such, involve Everton.
"So, we do expect Marouane to be available for selection for Saturday's game against Wolves."
The FIFA five-day rule means football's governing body can ban a club from playing a player for up to five days after an international game for which they fail to release them. Fellaini played all of the 2-0 win over Turkey, but Belgium were already out of contention for a spot in South Africa next summer.

We're saying its not our fault, its Felli's and Dick Advacaat's so he should be able to play on Saturday.
