And yet we have played with five midfeilders all season and many seasons before that - i dont recall them scoring five goals albeit an own one in to many games.

Well we don't often play Hull. But yeah our midfield played really well today, I'm just not willing to say thats down to Yakubu and not just them being quality players.

I mean if Saha had played, I suspect he'll have grabbed a goal or two himself, but I'm not convinced that that would mean that our mdifielders woudn't still have chances.

Our biggest wins this season, in europe, were with Jo and Saha rather than Yakubu. I don't think he's the difference and not say Donovan, Arteta and Pienaar playing together.

Knee injuries retire more athletes than any other kind of injury per capita. That Steadman cat hasn't been prowling the scene that long and yet has achieved a level of celebrity I suspect his surgery training left him unable to deal with.
As for positions, I agree a striker should be doing more running than a CB. But that agreement is part of the issue isn't it?

Both are VERY serious injuries.

The point about ground covered is a valid one.

Plus the fact Yakubu is against a back 4.

Whereas Jagielka is part of a back 4 with a player in front.

Stop looking for criticisms. Yak did just fine today except for the penalty and the fact he doesn't shoot enough.

How about this for a critisism. :@

I swapped Darren Bent for Louis Saha 2 weeks ago, and bloody Moyes hasn't played him.

Costing me points.

Im only 50 points behind you now mate!

I struggled last week with losing most of my players in the small fixture list, and not having any fit subs. Even Wilkinson had been red carded the week before.

Next week, I score double on a few, so might be better.

First time I've ever had a go. :D

Aye its the first time, ive played this one to takes a bit of getting used to. The big questionis next week do we add Arteta!

Saha is out now, with achilles tendonitis.

If he plays there's a risk he could be out for 9 months with the same injury Yak had.

So he's being rested and treated.

So now Yak has to step up.... simple really. (y) And he has, but needs to start shooting more like he used to.
