In all honesty, think this is the scenario that local authorities (maybe even Twente) was hoping for. Play it at a small amateur ground and don't sell tickets online. Guess there now only will be a very small allocation of Evertonians, so less police needed.

It's become the common thing to do with pre season friendlies over here sadly. Imo such friendlies should always be played in the club stadiums

No mate. In any other era he would have by now, but he's just unlucky to be playing in the same time as Dan Carter, Titus Bramble and Jimi Hendrix.

It's sold out, that's what happened. It's sold out because it isn't being played at The Grolsch Veste but at an local amateur ground

  10. So when you say sold out, you mean never for sale?

Never for sale to Everton fans, no. Or directly from their box office, but you would have to collect your tickets at the Twente stadium, or at one by the club appointed pre-sale addresses if so

  12. Meh, well suppose from the clubs POV its about minutes on the pitch more than anything.

Yeah probably the most important part. But still it's annoying the many restrictions you face over here if you just want to enjoy a football match

  14. I suppose security has gotta be taken a little more seriously in this day and age, sadly.

  15. But saying that, from what your saying this all seems to be about a costing POV.
