I think this game will be a lot harder than a lot of people think.

No one's expecting us to walk this one I don't think - VfL have got some real quality - but if we can sort ourselves out at the back we should have enough to see them off. Fingers crossed we don't see any of the comedy defending from the first 3 league games.

Remember he'll have the ACON this year so we will be without him for quite a while, which Is why I'm surprised martinez isn't trying to give him more game time especially in the cup games.

I suspect he's not 100% fit and ready to play 90 minutes. Hopefully we see him after an hour, circumstances permitting.

Can't get my head around that fact that two 5th place teams from 2 of the strongest leagues in Europe, should be drawn together. Forget rankings, that shouldn't happen in a group stage.

Seems odd, but I guess its based on our respective UEFA co-efficents or some other weird UEFA thing. The TV cash isnt the same for UEFA, so they dont have the need to keep the bigger teams apart do they?
