Only changes i can see for tonight is Distin coming in for either jags or stones, gibbo coming in for either barry or macca, atsu on one of the wings, and ossie coming in for naismith. Think rom will get the nod, and eto'o start against palace

Howard
coleman stones distin baines
macca gibbo
Atsu osman miralles
Rom

Although think jags will play instead or stones, prefer stones and distin partnership

Dinner with the team got cancelled, as the person I manage called in sick, so there is no threat of missing kick-off. Huzzah!

Excited for Eto'o playing.

Don't understand why people saying we need rotation. The 1st team is currently blowing out its backside after about 60 minutes of a game. Surely they should be playing as often as poss until they build up their fitness?

Wow, I only just clocked on to how long it has really been since we were last in Europe. I was at the last Europa game at Goodison against Sporting Lisbon. That was a frustrating match, I remember there being this lil black fella in yellow boots on the wings for them who absolutely terrorized us after Distin had been sent off. Their fans were pretty ace though with all their green and white Lions gear, town seemed full of portuguese for the whole week after, lazy work-shy so and so's.

As for tonight though, we can afford to do a little shuffling with the squad but nothing too drastic. Anyone not rating Wolfsburg because they aren't Bayern or Dortmund needs to have a word with themselves because squad-wise we aren't Chelsea or City either and they are more than capable of turning us over if we aren't up for it. Fiorentina weren't Juve or Inter but I still remember them knocking us out.

I would like to keep the back 4 the same for this one to build on the clean sheet we earned on Saturday. I'm not even sorry for saying this but I don't want to see Alcaraz making our starting 11 for a training kick-about. That said I would like to see Gibbo and Besic come in for this, Ossie as well cuz Naismith deserves a rest. I missed the Chelsea match but I've come in to work two hours early today so I can nip off the pub for kick-off (I'm in Canada, or I'd be there).

Here's how I would like to see us line-up.

Howard
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
Besic Gibbo
Ossie
Mirallas(Pienaar if fit) Atsu
Eto'o

Martinez has talked about experimenting with tactics and whatnot during these European games so maybe a 4-3-3 for tonight, with Ossie sitting deeper than Naismith or Barkley usually would since the little pace he had is almost gone. If Pienaar is fit, I'd like to see him start this one with Atsu on the other wing to get a run out.

Come on You Blues!
