I don't normally look like Bez after a long stay in a japanese prisoner of war camp. Had been a long day.

Was he getting a cheap bottle of wine and 4 cans of stones bitter to celebrate mate? Love the Nais, put in another decent shift last night.

Regarding the ITV4 coverage, didn't follow this thread during the match so I'm sure it's been mentioned, it irked me that at the beginning of the show they couldn't stop mentioning LFC. Also I liked the folding badge between the adverts but in the studio on the desk they had last seasons cartoon badge. Reidy & Strachan were great my favourite was when Strachan said something like- get a season ticket here great football.

@chicoazul your preview was ace...the result, well, frankly I probably would with everyone.

The poll though mate...please close them at kickoff. The 'Yes' vote has gone up by nearly 30 votes since we battered them.

Tar lid. You can only state how many days the poll is open for so I chose 3 days on Tuesday when I published it.

Big fan of lids registering a vote for the winning side after the event but you have a point and I'll close it on the day itself before the game to stop jarg voters.

Clean sheet against WBA, freekick against us last night. Why change it?

As for those saying 27 shots etc etc, how many of those were wasteful shots? Stats don't always tell the full story. It's close to the "we won the passing" argument, you can pass 1000 times, or shoot from daft angles/range all night for all i care.

We took our chances, they didn't, along with Tim the beast.

An i've read 2 or 3 people saying "if they had a decent striker, they would've battered us" They had Olic!

Everton are the best, stop being negative, we're winning the league, EL, Ryder cup and superbowl! Stick your money on it

Clean sheet against a totally cack WBA side who will be lucky to stay up the way their playing. How many of those 27 shots were wasteful ? obviously not many because Howard apparently made a record number of saves for a euro match. I'm not being negative, it was a great win last night but that doesn't mean it was without flaws. Like it or not Martinez style of play means we need to have players comfortable on the ball we will continue to play it around the back four it's a bit hearim scarerim at times but that's the way it is. Jags defending last night was ok but in possession he looked awkward and uncomfortable, for me we need a left footer to play on the left side it balances out the whole defence.

Discussing last night with my brother, we didn't count too many of their centres/corners where we got the first head on it and we concluded that Palace will be practicising their ball-launching tactics for Sunday - and it'll be aerial, we hope we're up to it.

And yes, it's churlish to carp after a 4-1, but it wasn't totally convincing and the defending particularly so. Loads of plusses, of course - all going forward - Naismith is a transformed player over the last 12 months, McGeady blossoming with growing confidence, Stones developing nicely - what a manager we have - all these players WANT to play for him, great stuff, Barry excellent again, and Eto'o is proper class isn't he?

But a professional coach once said, 'You've got to have at least one defender, who, when the ball is in the air, goes 'That's MINE!'
We don't think we have that defender.
On the deck, and in terms of passing patience, we are transformed, gloriously so. Just looked too defensively vulnerabe at times last night.
Only looking for perfection..!

Eto'o again showed what a top class player he is even though he only had a short time on the pitch. He was so accurate with everything he did, his passing and movement was so precise. It's great to have him at our club and the players will surely learn from working with him.

Wasn't happy with Jagielka who made some careless moves and is not great in the air.

We need a big man at the back who's more mobile than Distin. Wolfs got in a few headers. Even Bendtner got in a good one!
