My gripe from last night,

Why oh why, when 3 up and game won did we not make subs? (the correct subs at that).

We have a game on Sunday, Mccarthy was limping, so he takes Naismith off for Gibson, Mcgeady was struggling so he takes Coleman off for Osman the he takes Rom off for Eto'o

Surely this was a good time to give Besic and Atsu some game time as well as resting players and giving Mccarthy time to recover.

Even Moyes would have played better subs last night.

i was thinking the same thing..BUT we won AND if they had got one goal they would have been back into and we could have collapsed...they are clearly a v good side

What was the attendance in the end? Can't find it anywhere I've looked.

The morons on Setanta were making an issue of it not being a sell out and showing shots of the away end!

Osman would have come on for McGeady, but Coleman was concussed and there were only a few minutes left. Naismith had worked hard and looked to be tired, it gave Gibson some game time. McCarthy was the kingpin of our defensive set up when they were attacking. He'll be fine for Palace. Making subs too early could have cost us.

Took me five hours to drive there and five hours to drive back but it was worth it! Was great to sit (well, stand) in the lower Gwlady's for the first time, good atmosphere in there! Couple of nutjobs shouting overly critical things every time McGeady went short for it and not 'on his bike'. Romelu got a lot of stick off this other bloke too for bad control. All this at 3-0 up.

Couldn't care less though, great result!

the stick for Rom winds me up, hes a 20 year old kid still learning, hes doing ok, last thinhg he needs is stick off the fans.
A guy right behind me at the Chelsea game didn't stop, every time Rom got the ball it was 'LAZY [Poor language removed]', F'ING RUN U LAZY BAST'
when he did something good it was 'ABOUT TIME TOO YOU LAZY B'
Really? Get off his case. I wouldn't even label him as a 'supporter', had to bite my lip a few times

Agree with Coleman but, it was 3-0 with 10 minutes to go. Atsu for Mcgeady or Mirallas, Besic for Mcarthy would have done no harm other than giving rest/game time to said players.

...that guy sounds like a massive bell

I don't buy the 'we were in total control' line. Our goal was pepperd for the majority of the second half, it took our keeper to equal a saves record for the Europa league, some of them very very good saves too.

Howard played a blinder, and we were clinical. I think that's a fair assessment.

+1

Wolfsburg were poor so they shouldn't have had that much time & space to pepper our goal and they could easily have scored 2 or more. Howard made at least 11 top drawer saves, of which 2 were outstanding.
Europa group games seem about McGeady's level & I have no idea what Atsu must have done not to get game time ahead of him.
Eto'o just oozes class and has show in two cameo appearances that he is well worth his money. Looking forward to seeing much more of him in the near future
