I get very attached to my dogs at it really does hurt me when they die. My last dog Tara died of throat cancer, had to have her put down. She was a gorgeous dog and her last action was to lick the tears running down my face, I can still feel her, it took me a long time to get over that, still haven't really

any dog that needs a home. Got three from North Clwyd Animal Rescue. All a bit of this and a bit of that.
One GS x with whippet
One GS x with collie

and one monster creature that is lion x with grizzly bear, probably or might just be a cross terrier, not sure!:D

Ok.

34 posts on the subject of dogs (and not a thread hijack either...) and only one post from Chico?

What's wrong with this picture?

Thank you for the compliments for Tia. We rescued here just over 2 years ago - so she's about 3 and a half. She has emotional problems and threatens almost anything (man or beast) but she's ok when we control her - trouble is you are always worried that you have to keep your eye on her at all times so I walk her at night, in the local park when it's empty and on the open land on Salisbury Plain when it isn't really mucky. She's definitely got a screw loose tho - perhaps she was beaten if my reading her temperament in some situations is right.

Our Polly was a rescue animal, she was found half dead in Walton cemetery emaciated and terrified. It took her 6 weeks to make a noise. She is one of the most intelligent animals I've ever had. Because I can't walk her that far, wife and daughter duties that one, she plays ball in the house with me. I sit at the bottom of the stairs and throw the ball up to her on the landing, she will then push it back to me from the top stair, she'll do that all day, She will also balance a ball on her nose and then catch it in her mouth, as you can no doubt tell TD she is my best mate(y)
